Who has right of way in this mini-roundabout situation?

OP's scenario.

In which case, green car wins and has priority.

Green car is to the right of the yellow car. It has right of way. The lane the orange car would be coming from (but isn't in your example), would have right of way over the green car which would create the 'stalemate' with no right of way.

Green car is indicating, and yellow should see that.

Now, I've seen plenty of people in yellow cars position who have floored it and got away with it, but it tends to be close.

The car coming from the bottom of the picture has right of way. Notice the other entrances have give way triangles?

In practice though:
1. Taxi drivers
2. Myself
3. Everyone else

Vehicles travelling from "Ringley Road" to "Stand Lane" have priority over vehicles approaching from "A667".

Also, the "A667" entrance also has a give way triangle:

This is what the above link states:

When reaching the roundabout you should

* give priority to traffic approaching from your right, unless directed otherwise by signs, road markings or traffic lights
* check whether road markings allow you to enter the roundabout without giving way. If so, proceed, but still look to the right before joining
* watch out for all other road users already on the roundabout; be aware they may not be signalling correctly or at all
* look forward before moving off to make sure traffic in front has moved off.

I suppose it could be interpreted either way, I'd give way to traffic already on the roundabout approaching from my right but if the other car were stationary then there's no way I'd wait. Having said this it would also depend on the size of the roundabout and if the car turning right was stationary of rolling/moving and exact timings.

Ah this....happens at half the roundabouts i encounter no one knows and nor do they give a toss. it's there own rules i just go when it looks safe since there are so few people who actually know how to drive around here.

Also most of them opt for cars that dont have the indicator option as none have them :(

I once nearly t-boned a police panda car at a mini roundabout when the driver didn't think he needed to give way to the right. No doubt, it would have been my fault some how if I'd come through his driver's door....

Why would I be indicating when I want to go straight across :D

What if the yellow car is fitted with a roof-mounted 40mm machine gun? Who wins then?

Green car still. By the time the machine gun warms up and takes aim the car will be long gone. Did you not watch the Top Gear episode with the RR Sport and tank? :D

Green car, one of these junctions near my mothers and I always show them whose boss.

Working clockwise unless the yellow car is positioned at the junction to the green cars right then the green car has right of way.

Suprisingly I've never had any issues so perhaps you are putting too much thought into it.

It still suprises me on a daily basis when a stalemate happens at a mini roundabout.

Sometimes there is a stalemate though? What if 3 cars all approach the roundabout in the OP, all wanting to turn to their right? Car A has to give way to Car B, who in turn has to give way to Car C, who is giving way to Car A...
