Who here owns a Fiesta ST?

Was it someone from here who managed to get new mondeo disks and calipers for £300? If so where from? And do you need anything else to be able to fit them?

Edit: doesn't matter now

My bedroom at my mums house is starting to look like a ford parts shop.

Disks
Pads
Mudflaps
Spacers
Alloys
Paints
Splitter (arriving tomorrow)

And loads of other little bits.

Not bad to say i think i have decided not to bother with any of it except the new disks.

Change of heart rybo?

I think so :( Randomly decided i wasn't interested in doing anything to it the other day.

Though the Toyo T1R's are amazing on it :D

Once i have sorted the house out i am dealing with at the moment, ill be more sure on what to do with it. Keep it or get something more interesting.. We'll see.

Someone as posted this up on fordfiestast forum.

I like it :)

Weird how they put the number plate in the better place for the Fiesta but not the Focus. On the Focus it's covering the grill reducing air intake? :hmm:
I like it but it's underpowered AGAIN at 180PS so I'm sure Mountune will help with a MP200 kit! :buttrock: :)

Well fitted new discs all around. Ended up going with Pagid discs and pads which came in around £200.

Fitted my new white splitter which i like, especially at the fact i am only person in world at the moment with this white splitter. :p

Painted front calipers red.

Few of my other things may go on over week or may just wait till insurance renewal next month.

Only problem i have now is air in my brake system after not being able to find a G-clamp so i loosend the the front caliper nipples to push the piston back in. Just reading up to see how easy it is to flush the whole system your self.

With an EZ bleed kit is extreamly straight forward. Also using some ATE Super Blue Brake Fluid helps a lot as it is blue in colour so you know exactly when you've got the old fluid flushed out. It also has a higher boiling point which should rule out the changes of cooking it. For £13 a litre from euro car parts I use it whenever I'm flushing a system.

Alright mate, could you please link me to both items,

Can't seem to find the EZ kit, just loads of other kits. I have found ATE brake fluid on ECP, but not sure if it the one you are talking about.

Thanks

Could just take into into ford and get it done with the Service but im loving doing it all my self and learning. Need to learn these days we all dodgy mechanics about.

Just a few pics to add to the thread... Pics with new splitter, some love it, some hate it. Me personally, i love it :D

Ignore front garden, not had time for it :p . Also the car is proper filthy but you can't really tell from the photos.

Calipers painted red:

That is because of the useless camera on my Galaxy S. The splitter is actually gloss white and a perfect match with the stripes when they are clean.

Pictures don't do it any justice.

Also will make a great snow plough over crimbo :D

Leave it in reverse? Its a front wheel drive car facing forwards downhill? Or am i missing something here lol?

I agree the car looked fantastic when i took the stripes off. I am a odd one though, i hated seeing the same car everywhere ( have 2 other red ST's within 300 yards of my house). So fancied having a go at making it look my own with out looking like a chav. Though i feel it is slightly going a bit to boy racer, seen as every chavved up saxo/clio/106 tries racing me.

We'll see how things turn out. Have plenty of other stuff here i am unsure about putting onto it.

I love black on red, so maybe on the future plans if i decide on keeping the car.

Guys can you throw some insurance companies this way what i can try.

Not actually got a quote off my insurance company yet (sky insurance), but all the sites i have tried are coming back around 2k and i am not paying a penny more than £1300 on renewal next month.

22 years old
3yrs exp
2yrs ncb
1 conviction CP30 stationary on zigzags

Lot of people recommended Greenlight but they dont insure my area :(

Someone over on fordfiestast has a full Brembo kit ready to bolt on for £300

Will- Tried admiral and come back at £2400ish and bell was near same. Think my insurance is up for renewal around 15th of next month , hopefully Sky insurance come back with a good price.

Just spent half a hour on phone to Skyinsurance.

That quote is for fire and theft as they wont quote me comprehensive because i am under 25. Didn't even know i was driving around on fire and theft as they never actually sent me my insurance papers when i changed cars over. I am sure i asked for it to be fully comp when i changed the cars over...

Gets worse...

Can't believe it lol...

Yeah i have tried a lot of other insurers.

Going to wait till Monday and ring a company called FluxDirect as they seem to be quite reasonable with there quick quote system.

My problem is that i use the car for business use and have a PC30 driving conviction ( which has no effect with sky insurance). Sky insurance seem to be taking wee though with my renewal quote. I am having tiny bit better quotes for fully comp from a fair few insurers, so i will be changing insurance.

Still can't believe i have been driving a ST around on 3rd party lol, suppose it is my fault for not chasing up the change over papers.

Keep mentioning about getting rid, but it wont happen! :p

I dunno either, checked peoples insurance prices on the ST forum and they average out about £700 for 21-22 year olds.

Im 22, 3 years exp, 2 ncb (more than most on ST forum)

Guess Chesterfield is classed as a war zone on insurance peoples computers. Though saying that, my postcode is only a B risk on that insurance area site.

Leave Skyinsurance on the 25th and join Adrian Flux. Got it for £1547 fully comp with unlimited miles and all mods declared.

would have prefered it to be lower but **** happens. Though that figure is 25% cheaper than the next cheapest quote. So can't argue really.

Ordered a Piper system last night :)

Was between Milltek,Mountune and Piper and Piper won my decision after reading a few reviews and watching videos. Piper is what is used on Mountuned cars.

Anyone here go a Piper system installed?
