I need to get me one of those smaller numberplates too, are they legal squirrel?

No they're not, but the letters are all spaced correctly, they're just smaller in order to fit the smaller plate, which means that you shouldn't get pulled up on it as to most people they're fine. Naturally I've heard some stories of people getting a fine/points, but that's about 1 person for every 20 or 30 that say they haven't.

They're cheap, about £13 or something from www.fancyplates.com. Use the numberplate builder to make a plain front plate, size 520x90. Then you can just attached it with industrial strength velcro (from Halfords), and keep your old numberplate on another strip of velcro, meaning they're easily changed if you do get stopped (would hopefully get you out of a fine) :)

Got my new tyres on today! (Hankook v12's) Also had my tracking done and a new pollen filter installed.

Now I can pull off like a mofo without the car bunny hopping / veering off :P

Tyre change x 4 was £40
Tracking £25
Pollen filter £19 fitted.

I've got one more strike left on my license so i can't afford to take the risk :p

Glad your happy with them. I'm very happy with the set i've got on mine.

Do you know how hard it is to change the pollen filter? My car keeps steaming up instead when the heaters are on and people have suggested changing the filter.

Not hard at all, they shoved mine in within about 30 seconds.

Mines due a service right about now. Will have to book it in at JMS next month, I know the rear brake discs need doing. Everything else should be fine just a case of an oil/filter change, top up/change other fluids and give the springs/shocks a quick check as they're making some noise over speed bumps lately. Hopefully won't cost me an arm and a leg!

This is just thinking out loud here but how hard is it to remove and fit a new engine to the clio? Is it a case of dropping the subframe or will it go out of the top? I know someone with a 182 with a blown up engine you see, was thinking about buying it cheap and putting a 2nd hand engine it, had a look and they seem to go for £500-600.

You'd probably be better off asking on ClioSport.net.

Don't forget you'd likely need a few other new bits, cam kit, clutch maybe, these are the kind of things my car had done when the engine was fitted.
