Who here owns a Renaultsport?

Well, no H&Rs for me, after a 2 hour drive, waiting for the guy to arrive for 40 mins because he overslept, and an hour or so faffing about getting them off his car, turns out one of the rear shocks was completely screwed. A complete waste of time.

I'm going to spend the cash on a whiteline ARB and a proper geometry setup for the KTECs instead.

Might be moving back to sunny east sussex (your neck of the woods squirrel, rotherfield) as my flat contract is about to run out and if i cant find another job sharpish moving back in the with the rents will be my only option, head up though, life is love/hate but my lucks about to change soon im sure :D

Ah yes, I know Rotherfield well :)

Anyway, now I've had the car insured, taxed, tyres changed, tracking, skoda splitter and pollen filter done (£1620) the next purchase is a good stereo! I want one that I can plug my Ipod in to and one that can read my self made cds (where I can put around 80 tracks on) Any recommendations?

I'd recommend the Alpine X305S, I've got the previous model (X305) which is pretty much the same, and it's great. I have the lead going to my glovebox and I just leave my iPod plugged in there the whole time :)

The front of the unit feels a bit cheap, which is annoying considering the cost, but it is a great unit.

Will do :)

No idea when it will arrive, but they look pretty easy to fit which is good. Might have to wait until next weekend though due to lack of light after work in the evenings.

Fat bottom!!

Awesome needed to buy another new tyre today because of a nail the size of your little finger for the rear ns tyre.

So now i have mis matching tyres on both the rear and the front! grrrrrrr not having much luck with tyres at the moment, when i first bought the car it had 4 no name (but at least the same) tyres , now it has 3 different brands and I think i have to drive rather carefully until i can get some funds together when the weather improves at get some decent rubber on.

By the way the original plan was to keep the four no names until spring/summer then replace with good tyres all in one pop incase you were thinking i would keep the no names until they ran out of tread :P

Angry face.

Hey guys,

I am going to pick this up tomorrow, my back boxes are worn like a mofo! I am paying £30. sound like a good deal?

part used original Renault Clio 182 CAT Back exhaust system, the system has only been used for about 10,000 miles.

The reason why this system was removed is because an aftermarket system was purchased.

The system includes the two back boxes including tailpipes, centre pipe including silencer however the centre pipe has been sawn off from the back boxes which will require welding if you intend to use the system in full.

Woah, that's a bit too pricey for me mate, thanks for the suggestion though. Obviously don't want a crappy one so a middle end one would probably suit me better!

I have an Alpine X305 as well and think its excellent. One of the best purchases I have made for the car.

My 182 is now back on the road after a significant amount of money and one hell of a run of bad luck. Gave it a good wash and polish today and was dismayed at the amount of stone chips, scratches and dents where inconsiderate people have opened doors into it. I was considering spending a significant amount of money on my next car (mainly due to the 182 letting me down) but given the state the 182 is in I think it would be a mistake given where I park at home and at work. Maybe I shouldn't worry so much about the dents etc as the car is almost seven years old now.

So current thoughts are to keep the 182 for a while longer to try and get some benefit from all the money i've just spent on it to keep it running.

I was going to get the cable to connect it up when I first bought it but I've never bothered, it's something like £30 for the cable and being honest I didn't think it was worth it just to change the volume, I'm sure it can be found somewhere cheaper than that though :)
