Who here owns a Renaultsport?

I was going to get the cable to connect it up when I first bought it but I've never bothered, it's something like £30 for the cable and being honest I didn't think it was worth it just to change the volume, I'm sure it can be found somewhere cheaper than that though :)

I bought the cable to do this when I got the X305. Quite handy as you can also change tracks / albums via the stalk.

Hey guys,

I am going to pick this up tomorrow, my back boxes are worn like a mofo! I am paying £30. sound like a good deal?

part used original Renault Clio 182 CAT Back exhaust system, the system has only been used for about 10,000 miles.

The reason why this system was removed is because an aftermarket system was purchased.

The system includes the two back boxes including tailpipes, centre pipe including silencer however the centre pipe has been sawn off from the back boxes which will require welding if you intend to use the system in full.

Woah, that's a bit too pricey for me mate, thanks for the suggestion though. Obviously don't want a crappy one so a middle end one would probably suit me better!

Thanks! Have you got it set up so it works with your steering wheel controls? If so how much was this?

Check out the Alpine iDA-X001 as an alternative, or any of the Alpine iPod units really.

I did get the cables which allowed me to use my steering wheel controls, as I have got used to using them so didn't want to miss out :)

I just spent yet MORE money after the H&R fail today. Managed to get a 2nd hand JMS Induction kit for £90, hopefully going to pick it up tomorrow :)

I need to stop spending money on the car now really!

EDIT: Also, why are you buying another standard exhaust? Why not keep an eye out for a second hand after market one? Like - http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?562508-Janspeed-exhaust-for-sale

Cause it's only £30? Can't see your link I'm afraid :(

Also my engine management light has come on :( For a little while earlier my electric window control stopped working (side-view mirror, working fine now) could this be linked?

I picked up a second hand JMS induction kit today, which the guy fitted for me. It doesn't sound much louder than just having the cold air feed unplugged from the airbox, which is what I usually have, but it's just a little bit noisier which is great.

I gave it some welly through a small bit of tunnel and it sounded very nice indeed :)

Are there any power gains from it at all?

From everything I have read on ClioSport.net I doubt you get any power gains from any IK. Then again I have no idea what I'm talking about so that could be crap :p

Scarysquirrel, how much did you pay for the rear arb and where did you get it from?

Here you go - http://www.balancemotorsport.co.uk/products.asp?recnumber=58832

It was £164, which includes delivery, as when you add it to your basket there is a £10 off code, and also this weekend they have some 5% off thing. Not sure how it all worked out, but I paid about £164 for it.

Whiteline ARB from Balance Motorsport is on back order, will probably be about 4 weeks wait :(

So that leaves the lovely scratch/dent on the nsr arch from me scraping it against a stone pillar a litttttttle hungover, never again, i practically cried when that happened considering i had had the car for 2 weeks! That should cost around £200 to fix not including the wheel which will wait as will be changing to different wheels at some point in the future.

Then theres the incorrectly sized battery blocking the air intake, repair of small scratch on rear bumper which i have no idea where it came from.... We'll get there the end althought having just being made redundant on monday things could be changing rapidly!!

Some new wings in Arctic Blue for sale here - http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?563535-Full-sport-body-kit

Here are some shots of the car from the weekend... had lovely weather in the morning, so got only a few shots. Just from one angle as had another car beside me so not a great deal of variety, but looks good either way!

Got some Bilberry wheel cleaner coming along with some other cleaning bits too, so going to give it a huuuge clean sometime soon!

Oooh, I've just bought some Bilberry wheel cleaner too, along with a whole host of other stuff ready for a post Winter detail. It's sad, but I'm excited about cleaning the car. I hope Sunday throws up some decent warmish weather.

Lol I get excited about car cleaning too tbh... no one see's why. Really satisfying, especially after a good claying etc. Looking forward to it providing the weather is nice this upcoming weekend.

This big clean I'm planning will be my first clay :)

The trouble is, that after about an hour, my arms ache and I start to rush it. Hopefully we get a nice day soon so I can have plenty of beer breaks and make a day of it :)

When ever i do a BIG clean on a car (happens about twice a year) i get a mate to help, otherwise my arms fall off half way through the first polish :D One buffs on, one buffs off, its all very close and sexual

A quick (crap) video showing off the induction sound, doesn't really do it any justice though as I couldn't really go through the rev range through all the gears on the bit of road I was on. Will try and get a better video soon:
