Who here owns a Renaultsport?

I bought it very cheaply from a friend because it needed all of that work doing :)

If an OcUK member wanted to purchase id be happy to talk ;)
Sam

If you've still got it in ~6 months time then give me a buzz, I'm currently jobless and will be until I graduate!

EDIT - just a question Sam, how much did you pay for it?

The front discs & pads and rear pads on my 182 need replacing, anyone know a good place to get them? When I looked a while ago I managed to get uprated bits for £150 all in but cannot remember where and what! I think they were Brembo HC discs and Mintex pads.

Cheers

Using Next Day Brakes I can get Brembo Vented Front Brake Discs and Front & Rear Brembo pads for £99 delivered. Had a quick look on the ClioSport forums and they seem perfectly legit, they just somehow manage to offer items dirt cheap.

I thought you had a Leon Cupra R Sam?

Did you go Clio > Leon > Clio (again)?

Zetec S > Racing Puma > Zetec S > Clio Trophy > VX220 Turbo > Subaru > Clio 182 > Clio Trophy >

BRembo discs are good, but you can do a lot better than Mintex pads. Ferodos get a lot of love on CS

I'm going for Brembo HC front and rear discs, with Mintex 1144s up front and what he claims are Brembo pads at the rear, although I'm told Brembo no longer make pads (although, will be again soon).

I'm going via "G 172" on CS.net, he is as cheap as nextdaybrakes for the discs, and has some better pads.

I think it's around £220 for the above, with the rear discs including wheel bearings.

Love my DS2500's (with Brembo HC's) and they seem to be lasting for ever! Providing you only enjoy the occasional blast/spirited drive then they will last yonks!

I was worried after reading on CS they weren't much good cold however they are still a massive improvement over the standard set up.

When warm they're insane!

Maccy can vouch for this after we fitted them as he almost made a few nice dents in my dash with his face! On a nice dry road I'd be at a dead stop from 80 in 6/7 seconds, a little tyre squeal (PE2's) but no skidding. Best upgrade I did.

I think the Renault discs and pads are really good fwiw.

They're not bad at all but aren't very sharp and had a few brown pants moments with bad fading a few times.

Pretty much what everyone recommends on CS is:

Brembo HC front discs
Ferrodo DS2500 front discs
OEM rear discs and pads (apparently they don't do much)

6/7 seconds is a pretty long time dude, are you sure it wasn't quicker?
