Who here owns a Renaultsport?

I love anthracite F1s. Didn't get these off bod 182 on CS did you?

I'm looking at non sport 15" wheels now, as they can be had for pennies and then keep them as a second set for track use.

Hammered my 16" T1Rs yesterday at cheddar gorge. Its good that they are cheap as there is a lot of tred block movement and I can see them wearing out fast on track. But at £33 a tyre in 15" you can't complain!

If I keep the Clio, I want some 15" wheels for every day, those Oz F1s look quite good!

More sidewall is only ever a good thing :)

In all seriousness, thats not a bad shout actually. May help with the road holding quite a bit.

Finding a set of decent 15s that look good is quite difficult however, which is why I'm now looking for some cheap nasty looking ones just for track, and keeping the 16's for road.

The holy grail of 15's are Anthracite 2118's.

Took the wheels to get tyres today and when putting a tyre on one of the wheels it wasn't holding any air in. Took the tyre off and theres a 4" crack on one. Looks like it was done by the bead breaker by who ever took the old tyres off before. Tried ringing the guy all day but no ones picked up yet. Hopefully the refund will be fairly pain free....

I also like the 'idea' of a Trophy. But stuff replacing the suspension on one!

£400 :)

On another note, bit of a surprise as i didn’t think there would be a massive difference

I threw a 172 cup around Bedford on Saturday, it had a set of those new Hankook RS2's on and it was crap in comparison to my trophy i threw around there last month :) (the trophy was evan on pretty knackered exaltos)

Yeah, there is quite a gap between the stock 172 and the Trophy. The Trophy is the result of 6 years of tweaks and improvements.

My mates cup packed 182 feels completely different to my 172.

I love the 2118s, but I keep seeing reports of them being quite heavy though :(

I did around 100 track miles in both and the difference was amazing, perhaps the age of the trophy helped it but id had enough of the 172 by around 2 :p

More pictures, I'll take some of mine own soon, these are from the advert. Been driving it to work, so I've not really tested it yet at pace yet but I certainly start to see it's potential :)

That is nice :)

My 51plate 172 has been falling apart lately, gearstick gator has come off and wont clip back in, headlight washers leaking so all my washer fluid is going and now both my window regulators have gone within a month :(

So my point of this post, im assuming this will fit my 2001 172? It shouldn't need any special version should it?

I want a Trophy/V6 spoiler now :(

On a side note, I'm enjoying not spending money on the car at the moment. With the exception of £40 or so on some new brake pads the other day, it's nice to just be driving it rather than constantly spending money on it. After all it is pretty much how I want it now, with the exception of a wheel retrim.

I do still love the look of it as well, I just wish my front bumper and bonnet didn't have so many stone chips, and my Skoda splitter is looking worse for wear as well.

I do feel that at 25 (26 in a month) I should probably have something a bit more grown up, but meh! I never got this kind of car out of my system, so I'm playing catch up :)
