Who here owns a Renaultsport?

Trouble is, my car goes absolutely nowhere. I get the train to work, and if we go out we take my GF's Mini. The Clio is costing me £250 Tax, £600 Insurance and £x MOT and servicing to sit on my drive doing nothing. I need to come away from Bedford thinking "OMG this thing is awesome!" or I will sell it. I'm a little worried, to be honest.

Having done Bedford in my 182, you will love it. Great track and the Clio is good fun on it. Just remember on the hairpin before the straight go right to the end of the corner and turn in, it feels wrong but you will go a lot faster than hugging the rumbles!

for £3k-£4k (172/182) there is no better fun car for the money.

172/182 are fantastic cars, and great value/peformance, but that statement was a little comical. There are plenty of better cars for the money, and arguably more fun too. Performance wise, a 4k S14 would wipe the floor with a clio, and fun wise i would say an MX5 is well above, just some examples.

Nice car Benny :)

I agree Alex, but the Clio is going to be newer than an S14 and an MX5. Also round a track, I doubt there would be a great deal between the mx5 and it?

The day i did at bedford was a mazda on track day, and the Mx5's didn't really stand a chance against me, apart from one that was pretty highly track prep'd. But i can guarantee they were having the same, if not more fun than me on track. If lmfy2k's statement was theres no better hot hatch for 3-4k, then i would completely agree, its the best in its class, but to say a car in general is completely wrong.

Ta.

Last gen hot hatch and the 172/182 has the crown. This gen is yet to be decided and as a car on the whole there are better options available. So I would agree there. Though if I were to ever want something fun for weekends or track then I'd have another 182 no doubt about that. They'll be super cheap in another few years when the 200's are flooding the market.

Hey SS, sorry to be a pest, but would you mind linking me to the ebay auction for the F1 Renault racing stickers? I did search 'sticker' on this thread but I can't find anything :(

Also going to go ahead and order one of the new badges, but at £37, it makes me feel a little ill. http://www.k-tecracing.com/show_product.asp?id=2570

Would never pay £37 for that, who will notice? They randomly appear on ebay and check out the 197/200 forums for someone selling theres after they de-badge.

Ordered! I order just 1 liter though and notice it doesn't come with a pump spray :( I have other bottles with pump sprays but am wondering if they'll fit?

Ordered Bilberry Wheel Cleaner, Meguiars endurance tyre gloss, F1 Racing sticker & the new Renault Boot badge.

I AM OFFICIALLY DONE! (aside from maybe those silvervision bulbs :p) - If anyone wants to provide a link, please do! :)
