Just came back from a long day in dorset after having my car at ktec all day!
Had dephaser, aux belt, tensioner, cambelt, oil change, oil filter, new camber bolts (one had threaded and coming loose) 438 cams and a dyno remap. I was told right off not to expect any crazy gains after they dyno'd the car when it came in. They said the car was already running very well from there first dyno (it has already been remapped). I had it dyno'd previously @ 176.6bhp on eurotech rollers, on ktec's rollers it made 176bhp
Some photos!
Inlets off, cam cover next!
Old cams out
Catcams in!
Mapping time
So the car made 190bhp & 162lbft peak. The difference the service and mapping has made is huge, the car is soooooooooooo smooth and just sounds healthy. I'm not going to make things up like a lot of people do. The car doesn't suddenly feel like i've added masses of power, because i haven't, but the car certainly pulls much better from low down and absolutely screams all the way up to 7000rpm. Before, it just used to make lots of noise from 6000 upwards but not really make much progress. With the more aggressive cam timing, matched with my straight through exhaust...the flames out the back are good fun

I have the option of going back and tweeking the cams even more to get a few bhp but this would be to the cost of normal driving (it wouldn't idle as well so could possibly stall a lot. Very happy and can't wait to get it on track!
One outside ktec!
The £7 ball joints aren't the Q Drive ones from Euro Car Parts are they? If so avoid like the plague, I bought some and ended up binning them and buying the Lemforder ones instead.
No idea! They aren't listed as branded...
