Who here owns a Renaultsport?

So I have jumped and put a deposit down on a 172 today. It is absolutely mint :) 2003 50000 miles belts done last year, silver. Went through everything on the buyers guide. FSH and he's taxing it and re-doing the mot tomorrow for me. :)

Want to thank people in this thread for the help and Oliver.

Anything else I should read up in regards to care and cleaning?

Oh really? They were last done when my dephaser was replaced, which was probably around 18-24 months ago. It's due a service in 4000 miles so perhaps I could get it looked at then.

Sounds like a big difference between 70 and 80 is normal then.

Does anyone know of any dead 1*2s? A friend has got issues with a spark plug that keeps blowing which means he's after a replacement head, although he may just take a whole engine as the labour charge is similar.
 
Got my car today and I love everything about it. Also turns out it is the 172 cup in iceberg silver with climate control. I believe this is quite rare? The guide on cliosport suggests there was only 106 with climate control built. This seems too low though.

Either way I love it and it is awesome. :)

I have one of those too ;) Congrats. 1 of 33 made. Next month i'll hopefully be the only turbocharged silver 172 cup out there!
 
Just saw a 182 Engine on CS.net FYI :).

Also there's an Orbisoud exhaust :cool: ;). Am I right in thinking that they're pretty much as loud as the Yozza, and way louder than OEM/Milltek/BTB/RS192?
 
I don't think they're in the same spectrum of loudness as a yozza,. They sound nice though, I followed the trophy its off down to cliosport saturday for a while, very nice.
