Who here owns a Renaultsport?

Yeah, I wasn't sure if that was part of one of the cup packs or not.

The one in Cornwall is a tank of fuel away in the Evo, so would be £120 or so just to get there and back. :D

Quite a drive but I think from the advert its a much better car.

Also sign up to cliosport and check the for sale section.

I attended an RR evening earlier in the week that was organised on Cliosport. Pretty chuffed with the results!

Thought that was a Clio for a second!

Looks epic, if my requirements for a car hadn't changed I'd be all over one of them in the same colour next! Looks awesome :)

Hi there

Ive got a question about about an 05 Megane which im trying to buy wipers for.

I checked the usual sites, it appeared that conventional blades were the only option.

I bought them, tried to fit them, and the car has flat blade wipers with flat blade arms.

Has this been a retrofit? I cant seem to find anywhere that specifies the blades i need.

Not an RS but a renault non the less.

Basically my 1.2 16v clio mk2 Ph2 is overdue a cambelt change.

Is it just the cambelt and water pump that only needs changing, or is there anything else thats recommended to change aswell?

JW as i want to make sure the garage i'm taking it too will change the correct parts, Also need them to check out an oil leak, Recent MOT came up with an Oil leak.

Cheers.

Not 100% sure but I think you'll need the to ensure the complete cambelt kit is fitted, not just the cambelt, including a tensioner and any pulleys that are used in the run of the belt.

No Aircon with mine fortunately and unfortunately.

I'll just have to make sure i know what's included, And see where this oil leak is coming from.

Deffo one there as recently the oil warning light comes on everytime I go round a bend, then goes off straight away when on a straight road.

So need to get all this done pretty sharpishly.

Could someone do me a favour and give me a run down on the versions and details of the previous generation RS Megane (the one with the big bum)? Is the range structured like the Clio's with Cup and non Cup, or is it more spread out? And any details on big bills or major issues to look out for like the belts on the Clios?

Cheers.

I don't know about the gearboxes tbh.

I think there's something wrong with my car

it seems to be idling rather high
anywhere between 1200 and 2000 rpm :(

any idea what can cause this?

Thanks again Maccy. Sounds like the Megane follows the Clio in terms of servicing. Bit of a shame :(. I'll see if I can find out about the Gearboxes and any other major faults to look at.

ShiWarrior, is is doing that from cold, or when hot, or both?

Has it just started or has it always done that?

EDIT - no worries mate, I haven't heard of any gearbox issues with the Meganes but then I don't know much about them either tbh.
