wish mine was shiny. nice cars you got there!

Being black it was but 5 minutes before mine was filthy again, you can watch the dirt just walk up the road and sit on it. Ideally I'd wanted Racing Blue but the only one popped up round here & was gone in an instant. Took this one purely because of its history & belts/dephaser being done in August 2014.

I've given up washing my Black Gold Clio until the summer haha!

I kind of lost interest in it for a while but driving home from work today I started thinking about throwing some more money at it. A re-trimmed steering wheel is priority number 1 for me

Went to look at a Black Gold 182 this morning in Kidderminster. Seemed in good condition, not going to be buying as it's too much money (advertised on PH at £3699).

Has ktec front grills fitted which would need replacing, winter tyres fitted and cambelt service looks like it would need doing next year.

The far too short test drive did allow me to check the nvh and ride compared to my mx-5 though and I think I'll definitely be buying a 182 to replace the mx-5.

I have a Megane R26 F1. Its a great handling car, I love driving it. But in a straight line it feels a bit slow somehow. I'm tempted to get it remapped, but I'm not sure if its worth it, especially on an engine that's already done 85k. Does the extra boost kill the engine quicker?

So renault sport teasing people with there new trophy advert.. what do we think it is?

Im thinking surely its a RS 200 EDC tophy? 200 EDC with ohlins suspension, akropovic exhaust and maybe, hopefully, please god...a manual gearbox? A small power hike would be nice too.

Dream on says the man with a Clio 200t :)

I'd personally settle for a Renault sanctioned re-map (aka Ford Mountune).
If it is an RS 200 EDC trophy then it wont have a manual box (as EDC stands for Efficient Dual Clutch). But I get your meaning :;)

Must be coming up for 2 years now since the original car was launched. So maybe time for a slight update, as Renault seem to work on a two year cycle.

So I just get my Clio working all nice and feeling great again and I go and get a job abroad!

No idea how much to even ask for her? Really feeling quite sad about it if I'm honest! Thinking about asking for a grand just for a quick sale, am I nuts? Or is this about right anyway?

What about taking it with you?

Yeah I've been looking at that tonight, it's free to ship (via work) but the import fees look to be about 750euros. Which means I'd have a nice reliable car for when I'm there, but I'm not sure I can be bothered with the hassle.

What have you got?

Mine nearing crunch time. MOT is in a month and I'm worried it's going to cost more to put it through than it's worth. Might put it through early next week to see what it fails on and give me time to decide.

It's a 182, it's a shame as it's just past it's MOT in January. I've just replaced a ball joint, track rod end, cat, two rear shocks and I'll be doing an oil change and air filter this week. She feels better than she has in ages. She's probably due belt changes in about 10k or so miles. Also is a little tatty, dents on the bonnet, wheels need a refurb and rear bumper is scratched. O not forgetting the rear brakes that's only seen a few miles.

Yeah I know how you feel Skeeter, it seems pointless to sell though as there worth so little now.

Try more like £1200 and you can pick her up in May ;)

Also why are the pricing on these so crazy? One on PH for £1500 and one with more mileage and older for £4k and similar again for £2500. Madness.

Pricing is all over, seen a normal 182 for £3499 at a dealer. Madness!

Just been doing insurance quotes and all the rest of it but been comfortable with a company car not sure I justify a second car. A Clio 182 would be perfect for summer fun. Just ran quotes for the other half, £4k been a new driver ha not sure that would go down well, a Corsa 1.2 10 plate is £870 with a value of £3k.

Guess it's all the Barry boys buying them and crashing them :( !!

Wow, have you tried Adrian Flux etc? Mines is £240(iirc) a year, which includes Fully Comp on other cars. Though I paid extra for that, so could be less.

If you are intrested drop me a trust.

Any thoughts on this 182. Looks like it has a rub mark or something on the N/S sill just in front of the wheel arch.

Here

If it was a bit closer I'd just go and have a look but I think it's in Reading which is almost 2 hours from me.

I paid about that 4 years ago, for an 05 plate with similar miles. I'm not sure I understand the Clio Sport market at all.

That said, it looks clean and has had it's belts done recently.

The clio sport second hand market is very odd.

but I think it's all down to how much work has been done to the car, what the service history is and who did the belts.
Have seen some sell for over 3k with 75k miles recently... purely because they had expensive new bits and very recent belts at known specialist garages.

then you see the big standard not looked after silver 172 go for £800 with 90k on the clock. Because the seller is a chav who couldn't care less
