Who here owns a Renaultsport?

As expected got approved for Renault Finance in a few hours :D I just need to go to my local dealer now sort out all the options I want before the order goes through...my test drive is going to be in a Trophy-R as that's all they have right now which is insane but I will take it for an almighty blast :p

Seriously thinking to go for the Liquid Yellow its so hard to choose between that & Flame Red both are equally stunning until I see them both I am going backwards & forwards between the 2

You can never have enough RS300 pics! ;)

These are all the 2021 colour options. There is a single 2021 Black one ready to go now to whoever wants to buy or finance it but I prefer brighter colours!

They are all stunning really whatever the colour but I want to keep mine for many years so must get the colour I want when its built on the production line! :p

Here is the actual production line as well!

now has 3 owners in a mere 2 years (soon to be 4 for whoever buys its)

Not a good time to be looking for a 2nd hand car at the moment! People and garages especially asking silly money!!

I have been looking for a decent VW Polo Gti for a friend. But even 2019 models are going for daft money. Considering that VW dealers (especially Arnold Clark) were giving huge discounts on them not that long ago to clear stock on the last few pre-reg.
Now the prices for 18 month+ ones are probably pretty much what one would have paid for a new one (after discount/s etc.). Thank God I'm not looking to change till the back end of next year. Life, got to laugh at times :)

Couple of snaps of my 275 Trophy after cleaning it today. Car is going to be at Trax this year so just a couple of niggles to get it looking perfect such as a handful of stonechips driving my potty and wheels are looking a bit tired due to some harsh brake pad residue, other than that every time I clean it I completely fall back in love with the colour and the coating I have on it has given it so much depth in person it's unreal :D

Yeah absolutely, its crazy how much prices have sky rocketed for second hand market, especially hot hatches etc.

@shauncr91 the front end on that looks absolutely fantastic, my lord. The gloss black rims suit it down to a t as well.

That's a fantastic car but the price is a bit high (although dealer offering finance @ sub 6% is pretty good actually). So tempted but for the same monthly's I can have a brand new 2022 model :D so will have to pass but I could literally have that within a week vs I have to wait until early 2022 for my new build. If I do not like the deal I get offered on new then I might go back to it though as FOMO ;)

There is right now in the UK only a single 2021 delivery miles Gloss Black RS300 Sport ready to go (car is in northern ireland though at a main dealer Renault can arrange for that to be shipped to UK within 3 weeks - but I want Liquid Yellow or Flame Red).

Another northern ireland dealer (not main) has 2-3 stunning RS300 with low miles but their finance deals are 12.9% so unless your a cash buyer I would advise against those deals as they also want close to new prices so you are looking at £45-48K & sorry but they are just not worth that much! Supply & demand is in full swing so many used RS300 at silly prices some will pay it  I can wait a few months for a new one (hope I can get lucky with a cancellation from the import centre before early 2022 though ;)).

All nice and clean, not had a wash in over a month. Puts a smile on my face every time sport mode is on :D
Nice car Greg I bet it does :D

Those alloys are just perfect & really suit the car (hope they stay in good shape I read about how hard it is to get them repaired if they need it!).

Hope you keep her for many years to come :)

@shauncr91
Love those pics man keep them coming yours is one of the best looking 275s :)

@Xein if your feeling brave there are a couple of very low miles 275-R on autotrader right now insane prices but stunning cars ;) same money as a decent used RS280-300 though

380 miles 2015 £37K
2015 White Renault Megane 2.0T Renaultsport Trophy-R (s/s) 3dr for sale for £36995 (autotrader.co.uk)

18K miles 2015 £28K
2015 White Renault Megane 2.0T Renaultsport Trophy-R (s/s) 3dr for sale for £28995 in Rufford Road, Stourbridge (autotrader.co.uk)

Yeah absolutely haha, one of the only dealers that I found that did offer a decent % and judging by the reviews seems to be a decent dealership all round. Just a shame that second hand market is in full crazy demand and prices have gone up what 10-15% over what it should be? (not sure exact figures so just pulling something out of thin air)

But you definitely can't beat having that brand new car (and that new car smell ;) ) just a shame its such a long wait still.

Think I may have seen that one when I was having a look around for 'new' but I definitely think the three prime colours have majorly favoured (red/orange/yellow)

oof the prices on those 2015 models in your second post is unreal haha

Looking lovely. Just washed mine and am posting to celebrate its first stone chip, just shy of 1 year old.

She's growing up so fast. Front of the bonnet! Can't be prevented. Seems these will show up on Yellow really badly

That's mad.

That's a year older than mine, with double the miles that I had when I bought it. And 2 more owners too.

I guess it's manual though. I feel manual may hold more value going forward especially as the auto is the only way now from new. I did consider that angle as they had an orange one in manual when I bought but I had to go yellow and found the auto would suit me well. Would like to try a manual though to see how it feels

That seems a lot of owners for a mere 9k?

I feel it's getting a bit crazy now, is it the norm or are dealers taking the Mick a little?

Just looking at your stone chip picture and shed a little tear :(

What's the cost for PPF on a Megane RS?

Yeah it's crazy isn't it, not sure how they can justify it considering its now had 3 owners, but like you said maybe because its in manual? (and a premium colour of yellow)

But begs to ask the question how they can justify these prices, considering an extra £8k (give or take, will nab you a brand new one)

Yeah seems like someone bought it, saw the price increase and thought they'd make a few ££ back on it.

RS 300 Sport is now fully ordered & deposit paid for early Jan 2022 delivery :D

Had a long test drive (as it rained heavily to begin with  so the dealer kindly allowed me more time & miles ;) ). My experience with the main dealer was just fantastic overall he was so helpful, enthusiastic & knowledgeable not pushy at all I could have walked away anytime he was cool with that but such a decent person. Also offered me test drives in their Alpine A110 & A110S (same engine as my ordered RS300 300BHP + 420NM but lighter) but I declined both as no interest in that car :p & asked for more time in the car I had already bought from them which helped them agree to it!

The driving experience was incredible  :D stayed in Race mode the whole time so fuel consumption was just enough to go there & back again ......... ;) went through about £60 worth petrol on the test drive  2021 demo car with the EDC Dual Clutch Auto gearbox (which is superb & lets you concentrate on driving, braking & awareness of others & road obstacles).

In Race mode the handling was a little less comfortable & the seats take a few moments to get used to as they hug you & hold you tightly so under heavy braking you do not move at all ....brakes are stunning soon as you touch the pedal you scrub a huge amount of speed off & get down to a much lower speed or gently tap them they work equally as good. Such a precise feel to them (my demo vehicle only had 1440 miles on it BEFORE I had my 2 demos!).

Cabin it must be said is a little tight to get into due to the stunning shape takes a little bending to climb inside but plenty of room once inside. Boot is more than big enough for daily use, shopping, family errands etc etc.

Engine is the real star though put it into Race mode, select drive & away you go once the electronics sort themselves out the torque & how it puts it on the road are stunning. Impressive pops & bangs from the exhaust as well it has a dual exhaust valve which auto activates in Race mode...fuel useage is pretty heavy overall full tank is about 250-290 miles driven hard & perhaps 360 miles if cruising along so need some shares in an oil refinery now ;)

It will have the lithium battery issue is why so many owners most likely as some give up do not go back to the dealer or are unware of the fixes to the battery charging system. Supply & demand though the dealer checked for me 1 new car available right now only 2 more coming in a few weeks then a trickle until more chips are available (this is causing a 3-4 weeks delays to the usual Renault 12-14 week delivery window).

The EDC Dual Clutch auto box is stunning though :) I can see why they dropped the manual the auto has also slightly more power vs manual (20NM more) & will last the lifetime of the vehicle with zero maintenance required on it.

@kinger8938
Nice pics & nice colour I ordered the same so snap :p;)

Shame about the stone chip  its going to be a job you DIY. Get a little filler mask around so you only fill the area you need to. Gently rub the filler (ONLY!) down when dry. You need to order the Renault touch up kit (it contains primer, lacquer & liquid yellow J37 I think is the paint code but double checking before ordering this). Renault no longer sell the liquid yellow kit BTW. Best you can hope for is disguise the damage no way to get 100% but you can mask it pretty good.

Otherwise for 100% factory finish its a bonnet respray which is around £750-1000...so DIY is probably best! The main dealer advised me today always come back to them for these repairs they get charged trade prices only £100 per panel (if no major filler or dent removal required) vs £500-1000 3rd party body shop prices!
