Who here owns a Renaultsport?

Personally I think high mileage is good in many ways it means the car is mechanically sound to have reached that number! But depreciation is more savage so most people want a low mileage example :(

Highest I have seen is 35,000 for a 2019 RS 300 Sport

Yeah I think at the moment, I'm just going to keep holding out and see what happens with the second hand market in the coming months.

Would love to go brand new but can't justify the total cost for it. My max budget is 25-26k which at present doesn't get you anything haha, so will see what the future holds.

Shame really, but its just one of those things, I guess with it being quite a niche 'rare' car as it were, bumps the price up that little extra.

Not sure if it's what you are after but noticed this 2019 RS for sale in Lowestoft this morning

Just picked mine up after its first service. 6000 miles down, no issues to report. All tests came back in the green (so it should, it's still so young). A friend managed to net me 10% off too as she works with another dealer of the same group :)

They did check for any signs of issues relating to the fuel gauge concern I mentioned a few months back but unfortunately their tests came back with no issues.

I'm thinking it's just a quirk of the car of which I have since gotten used to.

Would like to speak with another RS300 owner to see if they have a similar experience with the fuel gauge suddenly dropping to 0 when it's around 1/5th left on the gauge. Reads like 70 miles to go, then suddenly needle drops to empty (- -) miles remaining, refuel now beep beep beep :D just seems a bit sudden and inaccurate

Beautiful looking one that

Edit:

I still think this is an absolute bargain if you live up that way

Sure is but brand new is only £33585 for 2021 latest model @ 420NM all have the stunning EDC Dual Clutch Auto now with extra 20NM over manual gearboxes (2022 spec by the time you actually get it!). Also all new 2021 onwards come with the same exhaust as the Trophy with the active exhaust valve which produces a deeper sound & lots of pops & crackles ;) as well as the upgraded 10" screen in the console & digital display upgrades :p

All valid points but it's sometimes important to stick to A budget, I think new is a hard pill to swallow if you are initially aiming at around £25k mark, I was in a similar boat. That's said once I saw Mine which was over budget and crunched the numbers, it worked out pretty comparable overall so always worth having a look

Yes that's very true, but always have to factor in the cost :(

Love me some pops and bangs haha.

@kinger8938 those pictures look absolutely stunning, wow, and the interior mood lighting is very subtle but really nicely done

Thanks man! Yeah the blue is lovely and matches the yellow nicely

By default it changes depending on driving mode to purple, green etc but they looked awful so I've altered it all to blue, race mode red ;)

Can confirm. Entire gauge lasts quite a while, but then once near the bottom, it falls off a cliff. If you are going for it during a spirited drive, you can see the gauge dropping.

Thanks for that, definitely a quirk of the car then. Really odd. All other cars I've had are much more accurate toward the bottom. I've just adjusted and fill up sooner than I used to. Good practice really. I was just worried it would catch me out one day.

Seems to stay at the full mark for ages then suddenly catches up with itself and starts to drop

Budget sure is important... yours has the panoramic sunroof & Fuji lightweight alloys that's £3.2K of extras alone :p ha ha you got a bargain its right now probably worth more than you paid for it :)

I know sadly cost is all but look if you go to Renault now you could get a 2 year lease where you have to hand it back after then & cannot ever own for sub £400 with a decent deposit! ;) holding out is probably best keep looking every single day quite a few turn up late summer people who do not appreciate them fully dump them when the main driving season is over

Renault removed the mood lighting from the door cards for the rear doors on the 2021 onwards models to save money sadly as it means they also need a less complex wiring loom (this was purely to shave costs as they are selling low volume still) :( but they did put the Trophy dual valve exhaust on both 2021 models (Sport & Trophy) so perhaps that is why the rear door cards went !

Mk3 does this as well its quirk of how it calculates the useage. A full tank should very minimum get you 250 miles if driven very hard so keep an eye on how far you go is a better indicator but air con, cd, & other electrics which use the alternator will increase fuel consumption so does driving with open windows!

I know which I would rather have in that situation ;)
