Who here owns a Renaultsport?

73K miles is nothing, providing it has had the belts changed and recipts to prove this. If serviced and looked after the F4R engine is very good!!

Cool, janesy you're right but I'm taking along my dad's mate who is VERY knowledgeable about cars.

I'm right in saying the price would be non-negotiable?

That one has the common melted steering wheel fault which can be repaired by people offering a refurbing service on cliosport.net. Best advice like what has been suggested is signup to cliosport.net and read the buyers guides etc so you know what to look for :)

This looks a great price, especially as it comes with Turinis on it. Although from the pictures it's missing the centre caps, which despite only being bits of plastic are actually £20 each from a dealer (I had to buy two recently :()

My tints come off tomorrow, YAY! :)

Also fitted my Brembo HC discs this weekend, which was relatively easy to do, the hardest part was getting some of the bolts undone. Need to fit my new rear discs and paint the callipers and then the car is pretty much where I want it to be. I'll probably be bored of it in 2 weeks :p

What exactly is this fault? Can you tell just by the pics because there are no faults listed in the description.

The material on the steering wheel melts on the steering wheel. No one is going to do a nice list of all the faults a car has when they are trying to sell it. As Vigoro said its a common fault.

Thanks ^^ can you really tell how extensively the material has been worn down just from looking at that picture!? I'll e-mail these guys asking if it has a cup suspension.

If you're a full Cliosport member, there's a good buyer's guide on the forums. I'm sure it's on Pistonheads too. Anyway, there's a section about the steering wheel rubber.

There is also a thread on Cliosport under Faults(blah blah blah :p) that details this problem, and has a nice long list of all those affected

was quite lucky when i got mine it had literally just had a brand new steering wheel, ive felt a melted one before and it feels eww.

Ah I think that's what BennyC went for along with the DS2500 pads which we fitted last summer, fantastic stuff :)

I reused my front pads as they had loads of life in them. They were on the car when I bought it so I was surprised to see that they were Ferodo, although not DS2500 I don't think. I assume Ferodo has some cheaper versions of their pads.

SS, how are you finding the Brebo HC's?

Think these paired with some Mintex M1144 pads is my next upgrade.

They've only been on for about 50 miles so far so I think they'll probably still bedding in. They seem great though, could just be placebo effect though.
