Who here owns a Renaultsport?

Yeh Ferodo make all kinds of pads, even OEM.

I was looking at the DS2500's but the difference in price between them and the Mintex M1144 is quite abit.

My pads are near enough new on the front but it doesn't seem to stop to well so I think they may just be cheap ones! I'll change the fluid first incase it's that as theres no receipts for it being done.

Tints gone, hurrah! 1000x better in my opinion, very happy indeed!

Could someone give me a brief overview of the running costs on these?

I love my Clio, been driving it for 2 years(non-Renaultsport) and having driven a couple of other cars now I'm thinking of sticking with them but opting for a sports version.

It'll be a massive jump in insurance, servicing and consumables I reckon?

SS - Sell you car to me!! :p

Looks great mate, I am looking for a 182 pretty much identical to that, either in that blue or RB. FF with both cup packs. Anyone looking to sell? :D

Well my year ownership is, (Will include everything)

Tax = £250 for the year, £130 for 6 months.
Insurance at 24 = £1200 Admiral.
Tyres x 4 = £90 Per corner.
MOT = Passed and was £35
Service = £159 which includes new plugs, oil and filters etc. Full service.

Thats my years ownership :) Nothing has gone wrong touch wood!!

Fuel I get around 27-40MPG.

Jeez that's pretty cheap.

I would do my own servicing so would be even cheaper. Thats if I find a good one!

If I post how much this car has cost me:

1. No one would buy one
2. I'd probably smash my face through my monitor in rage

But, here are things I've HAD to pay for (not including luxuries) in order:

New PAS pump
New engine
New clutch (as part of engine replacement)
New cam + aux kit (as part of engine replacement)
Dephaser pulley
New cam + aux kit (as part of replacing dephaser pulley)
New exhaust (I wanted to do this anyway, but rusted exhaust did kind of force this)
New shocks (I went for coilovers in the end, but this was due to shocks being screwed)
4 x new Michelin PE2s
New heater resistor pack (heaters broke), and this cost £120 :(
60k service
New suspension ball joint
New rear brake discs (will fit myself next weekend)

That's off the top of my head, I'm sure there has been more.

Insurance wise, I'm 25, 3 years NCD, 3 points (driving using mobile), license held for 8 years, first year was about £670 (10 month policy, £1000 excess (eek), no mods declared), just renewed for £720 (12 month policy, £250 excess, all the extras, all mods declared) with Sky Insurance (they give 20% discount for CS.net members)

Tax, as above. Due for renewal end of this month :(

Petrol, I go through just over a tank a week I think, so about £200-225 a month. But I drive a fair amount.

Luxuries, things I didn't 'need':

Trophy Turinis
RenaultSport mats
New headunit and stalk control cable
Exhaust, I guess could be included
Coilovers, could be included (cost more than new shocks)
New RS badge for rear
Cup spoiler
Alloy footrest
Eibach Sportlines, now replaced
RSTuner (worth it, definitely), now sold, but custom map still on car (Bugger, just realised I need to declare this)
3/4 size front number plate
Brembo HC front discs

I'm pretty sure his "last one", is that one, hence the large replacement part list. Interesting to see you guys can get 40mpg average, i was told i would be lucky getting 35. Also interesting is your insurance quotes. I'm 24, 2 years NCB, 7 points, and a recent claim and my quote with sky was £1000 & £250 excess, which doesn't sound that bad in comparison tbh.
