Who here owns a Subaru?

Bit of maintenance today. Changed the PAS fluid. Took 6-7 flushes before it was coming back out the same 'cherry' red as was going in.

Not driven it yet so don't know if it has improved the 'feel' but it certainly won't have done any harm.

Diff oil next :D
 
I need to change my PAS fluid, it's the only fluid I've not done since I've had the car. On my WRX I used a vacuum pump to suck the fluid out of the reservoir and topped up with fresh. Did this over the course of a week every time I drove the car but to do the job properly, I'd prefer to drop the fluid at the rack.

One of those little jobs that probably gets overlooked on so many cars.

Haven't used my car since Santa Pod so yesterday I started it up for the first time in 7 weeks. It'd be flat on the old battery after 2 weeks even with the solar charger connected. Replaced the battery the last time it was on the road and even after sitting for so long, it started up fine with no problems. It's being retaxed in December.

Thankfully, the reason for not using the car (saving for a house) has finally paid off and I should be moving into my new place after Christmas where the car will live in the garage for months on end, untaxed and gathering dust (I joke :D)

Picked a spare set of widetrack alloys up

2 gold, 1 light gold and 1 white. Now what colour to do them? Will only be for track days.
 
Pink, or red.

Mine are back in tomorrow for a colour change. Can't get on with the gold they are currently in, going bronze :D

I bought a 500ml syringe which was brill. Thought about doing it as I drive the car but repeating on the drive will give same results.

First 2 or 3 extractions were real black/dark red but it soon changed to red :)
 
Pink, Orange or lime green would be my vote. I always meant to do mine in focus ST orange but never got round to it when i had the car.

How much do widetrack alloys go for? I've got a set sat in my container at home which i should probably move on as i'll never have another car which will fit them with the centre bore being so small.
