Car mapped :)

Stupid fast and its only at 1.4bar as anything over this and the clutch slips like a bitch, still slipping atm :D Duncan wants it back once i have had the new clutch put on so he can put it to 1.5bar. Needs bigger injectors aswell as they are at 100% atm.

He thinks it will easily make 400BHP aswell once the above has been done which is promising.

Launch control at 5.5k ready for Kosta side step. Didn't have antilag as he said it isn't real as the standard ECU cannot do it, so i didn't bother.

Launch control is all you need. I think you ought to swap that clutch before dropping it though hehe. Sounds like you're happy though, bring on 2018 - Santa Pod is going to be concrete now, so should make for better launches. Catch me with your 400bhp if you can ;)

That's nice to hear! Didn't think the guy who maps my cars could be a fan of me, it's normally the other way round :D Nice of him though, thanks for relaying.

It has been very tempting but i just know it will rip the clutch to bits so have not tried it yet. Its booked in at scoobyworld for a new pink clutch and skimmed flywheel on the 1st.

Yeah im looking forward to the next Santapod gathering ( and curborough).

How many miles do you roughly have to do to bed a clutch in? I best not launch it straight out of the garage? :p
 
Will kill me having to drive it like a daisy. Be like when Andy made me go 3mph all the way down to santapod, killer....
 
Anyone got experience with wheel spacers? Have bought some springs for the car and I think the wheels are going to look a little lost. Wouldn't mind bringing them out 10-15mm.

Hubcentric is a must, it seems 10mm are replacement studs, 15mm are the kind that bolt to the hub and then wheel bolts to that.

I've had ideas since I had my WRX, haha.

I'm incredibly tempted to get rid of EcuTek and go open source or aftermarket on the STi. Not scared of getting stuck in!

I'm not much of a mapper but I know the basics, I ran Megasquirt on my old Rover.
