Who here owns a Subaru?

If it was me I'd be fitting the turbo myself and taking it for mapping. However, I understand that isn't for everyone.

Labour costs (and brand spanking new turbo costs :p ) are killer.

Yup they're Blouch turbos, always have been !

I believe the exhaust housing is smaller than the American equivalents though.

You decided to not let ScoobyClinic do the whole lot then?

Nah it's easy - did mine in about an hour and a half.

Remove intercooler, disconnect downpipe, undo all bolts on top of turbo, get underneath the car, remove bolts connecting to manifold, remove nut that holds engine mount in place, jack engine up, slide up pipe out. Standard up pipe is harder to get out than a stainless one because it has heatshields etc. on it.

Then do reverse, ensuring to leave bolts loose on both ends of up pipe until all are in place.

Yeah i didnt realise they wasnt tied to each other. I thought he worked for them. I rang RCM to see if i can book my car in next wednesday with him and they told me hes nowt to do with them and only rents the dyno from them.

Then told me he didnt book the dyno last week, yesterday or any upcoming wednesdays.

I could have told you that much... have you actually tried to contact Duncan himself?

Meh, the 150 limited edition is just the 2018 face lift that the rest of the world is getting.

I want the brakes and the seats, but happy that the other changes are minor.

I'm relatively happy with mine, fully aware that many cars are quicker (albeit with a DSG box or similar) and that my EJ25 of doom is likely to be an issue at some point. But I enjoy driving it. It sounds good, it's involving, and I can use its performance :)
