Who here owns a Subaru?

Nice whiteline stuff there scoobydoo69:D, I need, I need:D
Those pics that you see of my wrx are sitting on P1 suspension and red
eibachs, off a P1.
But its not anymore, its on Sti shocks now, must take some more pics:o
The reason i changed was it was just to hard for me, nice handling though, and looked nice quite low down.

Just to add and a little off subaru topic.
I bought one of these the other week for a daily driver as to not use my Gravel so much.
And all i can say is they are so much fun, the chassis is fantastic, talk about point and shoot driving, i would love a mrk 1 RS:)

A-Plan are another one who say I must be 25.

Having another car is always a great idea, makes you appreciate it more. I'm sure my Impreza would be in a lot worse condition by now if I still used it for work! And I'm sure I'd be broke :D

In other news, my friend's Dad has a load of CNC machinery which he gets to use, and is wanting to get into making bits and bobs on the side, bits for cars, mountain bikes etc.

Here's a hub he has made for his bike. He got it anodised etc, looks really smart.

So he offered to make me a replacement battery clamp as something to do. And here's his first attempt at making me one, am looking forward to him making it pretty.

It's a bit chunky at the moment, but he just wanted to make sure it fits. When he finishes messing with the design he'll get it anodised and then laser etched with whatever I want to be wrote on there. :) Random piece of bling but why not!

Scoobydoo69, and others.... insurance...

My insurance is quite cheap, granted it is the WRX and not the STi, but still.

3 years no claims and £700 a year. Try getting a quote from greenlight insurance.

They are a specialist insurer, admiral and everyone else wanted £1400 for my car, they came in at half that.

If you've been driving 200bhp or better for at least a year, Keith Michaels are the best, but make sure that you ask for Gary Moulson. He has a scoob himself, and he's the resident expert. But they only insure people like I said at the beginning. A-Plan are also pretty good.

When he finishes it, can you ask him to make me one, that looks really nice compared to stock. :) (ofc happy to pay)

Ok ok, stop the badgering I give in lol, some pics from the archive ;)

The WRX just before I sold it, still with the genuine spec c wing and a couple of carbon fibre bits but after I took off all the horrible stickers (what was I thinking!)

Such a small world really, occasional poster - mostly just lurk around.

But i've owned that WRX for about 2 years.

Had a shock when i recognised the number plate. Shame the Wing and splitter were taken off before i become the owner.

Its looking great in those pics

Guessing you were the first owner?

Yeah no worries I'll let him know. I think he wants to make a few to sell anyway! Unfortunately he's got an infection of the cornea at the moment, so it probably will be a while before it's done!

Get some pics of it's current look! Where are you from?

Well I bought it:D

Now I know what I'm missing out on with a non turbo.

This guy flew past me in a bug eye wrx sti and all I heard was Turbo Spool and exhaust note with some flamage.

I need a turbo in my life.

Only go down that route when you've saved the money for the mods. Because you will be putting mods on, no matter how many times you promise otherwise.

I know! Modding is a bug, quite a major bug. However I've learnt not to throw money at a car for mods. Just servicing/general wear and tear. It's sad to spend and make something so great, only to split it all up later on when you go to sell the car. And not really getting what you want for the parts.

Ive had my WRX for a few years now. World Rally Blue 2001.
Bought it as a bog standard motor back in mid 09 and now is starting to look more how I want it.
I have mapped and fitted pretty much everything bar the clutch on her.
Open Source mapping and tweaking using Tactrix 2.0 cable, Romraider, Learning view and Ecuflash. Launch control patched on also which allows me to set launch control rpm limit etc.
VF24 turbo,
3" Cobrasports turbo back system with 4 1/2" rear box.
STI Pink injectors
Exedy Clutch
Green Panel filter
Perrin Silicon turbo intake
Refurbed my 4 pots with new pistons etc.
BBS CH reps 18x8" et 35 sit flush with the arches.
Lowered 35mm with blob eye thicker struts.
Partly debadged
STI rear spoiler and skirts
HT Autos grille

Quick LC clip set to 4500 but can be set to anything.
