Who here owns a Subaru?

Thanks mate, 2005 widetrack blob sti, black or blue, <60K, FSH, mods preferred. I check piston heads, ebay, auto trader abd scoobynet every 15mins. Gotta be quick :D

Not for a Nur Spec R. That's a catback system.

Be worth getting new gaskets for it, if it's a standard system, 2.5" gasket for the centre and 3" for the backbox.

Missing it... at times. I've not replaced it, and have no intention to replace it for the time being, given that saving is the priority. I may buy something as an interim to sample other cars, but it would be something I can buy, run and then sell for minimal loss.

So I'm just driving my 306 estate for now (had it for years) and occasionally the wife's Fiat 500.

Agreed on a Blitz Nur Spec for £250, best thing is hes happy to keep hold of it until I find a car to go with it.

Had a go of a 350Z today which was a potential alternative (yes, I know). It was... meh.

Well I have been looking at the usual places as I always do and I can see why you are struggling to find one!

The only one I see is this:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Subaru-Im...7060740?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item3a8f95c684

though if I was hunting I might have been tempted to buy this:
http://bbs.scoobynet.com/subaru-444/1003529-immaculate-low-mileage-subaru-impreza-sti-8-a.html

But looks like it has sold, I am also surprised at the prices for these, I paid £6700 nearly 3 years ago for a 54 plate with 44k on the clock!

Awful time to buy isnt it, it was easier first time around and thats saying something. If you search for 2005 STI in scoobynet classifieds you see how much its dried up.

Watch this space though, I have first refusal on one going up tonight. Albeit it looks the market price is in the sellers favour.

The second one you posted, seen that a few times and starting to think I may give up on a widetrack and go for a 2003/2004 and not pay the HUGE premium. Never driven or been in a pre-widetrack though, despite me knowing the technical differences Im not sure if its worth me holding out.

Hutchy will you be tracking your scooby if you get one? If so i'd totally hold out for a DCCD car but if its just for the road save your money and time and get a non DCCD model. You'd have to be driving like your **** is on fire to make use of DCCD on the road.
