The 'Ring is such an amazing place, was it busy? Did you time any laps there?

Went on a Monday so it was pretty quiet, it was my first time around so didn't want to time any laps as it would have been pointless, however I did 2, one in the dry and one in the wet which was eventful!

Thanks for the well wishing guys, I'm delighted and cannot wait to collect :)

Kosta, I thought you might know the car, the guy knows a lot of people including Birchy, Lucko, Matt etc, I think those are local lads you might know.

One thing for sure, he has a major case of OCD and really cares for his cars, the amount of paperwork is unreal. Full Subaru service history with self services in between too.

I would agree at £7K normally, but take this from someone who looks every 15mins on Scoobynet, PH, AT and eBay... ask for more first. You might not get it but just try, wouldn't surprise me if a garage buys it from you to tart up and resell. For reference, the 70K miles black one I posted a few pages back which I was going to buy, that just had PPP, a splitter and detango - a garage bought it off him for £8000.

There is seriously a lack of widetracks on the market right now as theres several garages buying them straight up which is upping the price ceiling on not just widetracks, but also 03 and 04 too because people are giving up on waiting it out like I nearly did.

Only thing going against you is its grey, they do generally go for a little less. Get the bugger up on Scoobynet first pal. It's also how you present yourself in the ads, you want good photos and no ambiguous statements, be fully transparent on what you are selling. Good points and bad points.

Is it a a DCCD wide track?

widetrack and worth more than 7k all day long, if not 7k sounds about right but with the way prices are going I'd be sticking it up at 8k if not 9k and wait for people to knock you down. There's blobs with the same sort of mileage going for 8-9k

Stick if up for 9k then. If you don't mind waiting around I'd be sticking it up at 10k, they're in such a huge demand with very little of them about at the moment, prices have gone silly over the last 12 months, I'm not sure if they've been selling at the prices they're up for but ive seen low mileage blob eyes advertised at 11-12k

FWIW my dad paid 10k for a un-modified 55 DCCD wide track in around March

That's crazy, i paid 10k for mine with 40 something thousand miles on in 2011!

Almost depreciation free motoring :P

When I sold mine, I had an unbelievable amount of calls, its never been easier to sell a car.

What happened to me was a chap from Aberdeen called, but couldnt make it for a week and asked if I could hold the car if he give me a deposit. I said I'd rather sell sooner given the interest, he then proceed to offer more than asking price in increments of £100 until I agreed. Crazy. He then proceeded to still come and collect as promised despite crazy amounts of snow and ice that day.

Widetracks sell very, very well :D It really is as you say, depreciation free! That has only escalated more recently too.

Here's one of the best shots of me at the Ring last week

Awwww mate, stunning! What a fantastic shot, I'd be framing that and hanging in the front room! :D

Loving those side skirt extensions, grounded yourself with them yet though?

Been ringing around for insurance, thought you guys might be interested in results; (8 years NCB)

Privilege (Mods undeclared for baseline): £320
CompareTheMarket Randoms (Mods Declared): £3000
Greenlight (Mods Declared): £699
A-Plan (Mods Declared): £585
Keith Michaels (Mods Declared): £550

Ultimately A-Plan was the most polite, friendly and professional service so rang them back and they price matched. Sorted :)

Was I tempted to not declare, erm, yeah. Far too irresponsible though for a variety of good reasons. An extra £230 for absolute peace of mind is worth it.

I'm 32 mate. Yes I was quite pleased with that, protected no claims too and trackday insurance included.

Off-topic, I've just put my WR1 seats up for sale on Scoobynet if anyone in here is interested in contacting me via Scoobynet. I'm swapping them out for a full Spec-D leather interior.
