The car was used in a Redline Magazine feature where it was mapped with a variety of performance parts in order to ascertain the best combination. The best thing is I have the entire video showing various journalist and technicians working on and around it. Believed to be Andy Forrest.

Hi all,

Been a while since I've visited these forums!

I've got an '03 Blob STi Type UK in dire need of new struts and I've not got a scoobydoo as to what to do with them!

I've have SuperPro bushes pretty much everywhere - not touched ARBs yet - Whiteline Anti-Lift kit and that's pretty much it as far as suspension goes, still on standard springs/shocks.

I don't want silly hard suspension but wouldn't mind lowering it a little and making it corner a bit flatter. What should I go for?

She's going in for a full on service soon, pretty much everything is getting changed, along with some Goodridge brake hoses, HEL clutch hose and a Walbro uprated fuel pump.

Anyone in the Basingstoke area got one?

I've got BC Racing coilovers on mine (mine are Apex branded, and MeisterR are the same ones too) They're good as they're not harsh on the road like a lot of other coilovers. Do you do any track work with the car too?

Hi Boss,

No, no track days. It's my daily driver. Are they BRs? What top mounts do you have?

Yeah i've got the BR's, i've got the rubber rear mounts which are perfect really. When i originally put them on it was my every day car so i wanted something that wasn't too stiff. I found them to be about the same harshness as the stock suspension but it feels about 10x better in the corners on track.

That looks awesome, wheels look very nice, it will be a long week for sure!

Anyone fitted an oil catch can? I'm looking at Mishimoto ones at the moment, they do a baffled one and a normal one... why such a big price hike between the two?

There's no need for a big price difference just to have it baffled, is it a proper 3 port one with the right inlet sizes? If so that may by why the price hike as the Impreza needs one which is fairly different to your generic catch cans.

There was a couple of companies on scoobynet producing them, the one i almost bought was £72, i just never got round to buying one in the end. Think they were called OBD or OBC or something similar.

I have the Roger Clarke catch can. I really can't think of any reason why it would need to be baffled: the volume is too small for any sloshing about.

Congrats Hutchy, i've literally just made a mess in my pants! Looks stunning and looks to have some decent mods too. What price did you pay?

On a side note, I took my Scooby on the Ring this week, absolutely spectacular!
