Its the quietness of the thing that amazes me so far.
Mine has just been dispatched this morning, due for delivery this Friday. I ordered it mid/late Feb. Stock base model, just with the 512GB Storage opposed to the 256.
Just bought another copy of Windows 8.1 from OcUK to go on it as a boot camp install too, as I still need Windows now and then.

Not that long i don't think in comparison. It's the built to order ones that appear to be getting screwed over.
Mine is shipping right now from Texas. I got the shipping email yesterday of all days.
It spent two days being processed by brokerage there.
Yeah mine is still in the States, pushed back to Monday delivery now.
Mine got pushed to next Tuesday. It's rather amazing that UPS can get an Apple device from China to me in 2.5days, but in the States they can't even get out of the country.
I was so excited for the original 4th of April delivery date I went and next day shipped a new external HDD just to make sure I have enough/extra storage.

Yeah madness, from China it takes no time, in the States it goes to 5 states and several airports before it leaves.
Yup! It even seems to get 'stuck' in some states. Where it just sits and doesn't move for a day or two.
This thing better arrive in mint condition, I'm dubious about UPS in the states from all those youtube videos and them mangling boxes.

Mine has arrived in Europe as of 15 mins ago at least, it's in Germany now so getting closer.

I'm so excited for mine. I'm still debating which new monitor to get as well. It's time to move up from a 23"

I had to go for a Thunderbolt Display when I replaced my imac with a mini, they just look too good! Also go so use to the imac display (colours/contrast/gamut etc) I wanted to stay like that, and the thunderbolt was best for that.
Not sure I could recommend one now, they need updating. I'd prob get a ASUS display now if I wanted a new one.

Yours still due for delivery Tuesday? I'll get some pics up on Monday for sure, showing you the state of the box. You do the same, cos I'd be interested to see the state of yours too.
Hopefully they will both be in good shape, and we won't have coil whine noises either

Yup, still due for tuesday. Hopefully it arrives a bit sooner. Although Irish UPS is notoriously slow. My originally delivery date was Today.
I'll certainly get some photos up. The coil whine seem to be a very small minority of folks over at mac rumours at least. Although I'm easily susceptible to it if it's there. I'll certainly post here, and there if I happen to have it.

Yeah your nMP needs to get across the Irish Sea yet, they will prob gets yours to your depot on Monday, ready for Tuesday delivery. If you lived in the UK you would get yours Monday

True, although I've had times where a package lays in the UPS depot a day or two after it's arrived in Dublin.
I'm surprised there's no weekend delivery considering the costs of our orders.

You know our Mac Pro's have prob been travelling together. In the same truck together, same plane, then they went their separate ways once they hit Deutschland
