*****Who wants a $1000 INTEL CPU FREE? - COMPETITION TIME!!*****

I know this is an enthusiasts forum, but dont forget you also get lads asking how to overclock (absolutely back to basics). not everyone is at our user level, and that is very easy to forget.

What has photoshop got to do with overclocking?

I know plenty of C wizards that don't have a single clue on how to make a mask and cut stuff out in photoshop...

mate im a metallurgist, I don't work in IT, nor do I have any IT qualifications. I didnt pick up photoshop the moment I first had a go on it, took me a few weeks to get the hang of it and I suspect to get to a high user level you need to spend months or years.

a comment was made that it was easy to use, not by me, by someone else. Im just saying I dont really think it is as easy as loading up MS Paint and drawing your name.

It's true, sounds like you're just trying to justify your entry by saying Photoshop is hard to use (its not really) and that you appear in your picture ;)

Im not saying its hard, im just saying its not as simple as just cutting and pasting one thing onto another. Could the average man in the street do it who has never done it before? I doubt it. I can show you my missis attempt at the same picture, and she barely uses it at all. Its a completely different.

As for appearing in my picture? Well, Im just saying, why are so many people not appearing in theirs? Don't people know about camera timers? It's not Overclockers next top model lol.

Because it wasn't a requirement in the OP, nor has it been stated that it would boost chances of winning. what it does say though is that genuine photos have a higher chance than a photoshopped image, which is what a lot of us have gone for :)

I reckon farmers entry is one of the best. No gimmicks, no photoshop, no gadgets / supplementary projectors to help. Just himself in the photo in a cool place looking like an honest down to earth bloke

Cheers very much!

Although I did point out in my original post that its not me in the picture, but infact some completely random strangers / tourists who where already at St. Pauls.
I just coerced them into holding the logos for me while I took the picture.

Didn't take much to talk the lad into helping me though, as he said he worked for a magasine that OCUK take an advert out in so he recognised the logo and he wanted to know what on earth I was doing with it.
Once I told him about the competition and the prize being a 990X he was more then happy to help!
