*****Who wants a $1000 INTEL CPU FREE? - COMPETITION TIME!!*****

What are you moaning about, it's a free competition. Don't like it don't enter it.

Indeed I dont get why people are whining either, free stuff for minimal effort, some people!

Twitter and facebook take 30 secs to setup if you dont have an account already, I do not see the issue here.

*Snip*

How demanding? What about those of us that do not have facebook and twitter accounts nor want anything to do with them? Not very nice for loyal customers that spend a fortune at OCUK to be told we have to jump through hoops to help advertise OCUK. :(

What does "how much you spend at Overclockers UK" have to do with anything? This is a competition. By not entering, you're not loosing out on anything. However, if you do, you get a chance to win a superb Intel CPU. People complain about absolutely anything these days.

Guys, we offer out a free product which is worth well over $1000. You all complain about it.

Don't like it, don't enter, but if you don't want to enter you don't have to **** it off. We are giving away FREE things for over $1000!

There are so many ungrateful people around. You go to work to earn money, you dont like to go to work, but you do! Same thing, you want to have a chance of winning a free item then do what is required.

Simples.

I know its so saddening, how dare we give something away really. Has the UK got so lazy that people find it too hard to do some simple task.

Hell if I had the remotest chance of winning something of such value I'd be well up for it.

I am gutted I can't enter for it :( ( due to being staff )

I'm "moaninng" because I find it completely lame that you have to sign up to facebook. It's annoying enough when you see other stuff demanding a facebook/twitter account, but I thought OCUK was above that and might have valued its customers a bit more and might simply allow loyal forum members/customers the opportunity perhaps? I do not want to have to sign up to those places. Even with fake details it's a waste of my life.

Yep I come accross ungrateful and always will in a competition thread. Just trying to be honest.

No where did I see OcUK demand we do something. The terms and conditions are there if you decide to enter the competition, or not.

idd, I don't get what the fuss is all about. The reason for Twitter and Facebook is about giving OcUK some advertising and PR. In return you get a brand new CPU; should you win the competition.

There is usually something in it for both parties and tbh this seems like a fair and good idea in getting the community involved.

Holy **** some people are so pathetic.

I'M NOT SIGNING UP FOR ******* OR FACEBOOK WITH A FAKE EMAIL CRY CRY CRY.

Anyways, I'm entering because I'm not a moron.

I'm not entering because I'm not a moron and refuse to sign up to something such as ******* just to enter a competition I'll not win anyway.

Shock in ocuk staff raging at people for voicing there opinion on there competition. Merely stated that I wont be entering due to the request to sign up for twitter. But hey don't let that stop anyone calling us morons.
Is facebook not enough ? why the need for Twitter aswell. Surely one is enough.

Its advertising and PR, make a fake account if you wish, at least then you can enter, if not don't.

But if ourselves and Intel are giving away such kit, we want something in return which is free PR and as Facebook and Twitter is used by more than those who don't use it, I am afraid its one of the rules of this competition should you choose to enter.

People are complaining about having to make a Twitter or Facebook account, both of which literally take about 2 minutes to sign up to. If you don't want to win, don't bother. It's like if i said i'd give away £50 to every person who ran half a mile and then everybody started moaning they had to do something for it, nobody is forcing you !

Using a new created email address on hotmail and signing up to FB and Twitter isn't worth over $1000?

Either you are paid very very well, or was born with a massive silver spoon.

Not worth my time or effort, no...and I have a badly paid job and no silver spoon.

It's principle too...why should people be left out because they don't want to sign up to stupid social media sites?

+1

This is very true. I don't understand why people are complaining. Either you want to enter the competition and you abide by the rules or you give it a miss. If you are not happy with the rules to apply, this is fine :) Its a big prize to give away and it could be you who wins.

Fair enough, it's just I don't think people get that not being on facebook/twitter is usually because they actively avoid it deliberately. Being told this is mandatory is somewhat dissapointing. Is there not some other way OCUK could get some PR without using said places?

Facebook OR Twitter would be fine with me, but really cant stand the latter one (dont like the 1st one much either)

Am not moaning about having to do something for a chance to win. mor ethan happy to put some time in and get a good entry.

All a bit of a moot point anyway as cant get on to the tintyweb proper before th eclosing date.

Good luck and well done to who ever wins it in the end.
