*****Who wants a $1000 INTEL CPU FREE? - COMPETITION TIME!!*****

Maybe if you read the above posts another ten times you might take it in? It's not the time thing already. It's other reasons.

I appreciate you do not want to setup a FB or twitter page, so a work around is to create a new hotmail account, and use that to create the FB/Twitter pages that you will never use and if this competition is closed then does it matter? The accounts can remain dormant. Or even better you can close the accounts.

No issue?

I get the idea some people maybe scared what their friends might think on facebook/twitter when they post OcUK/Intel picture LOL.

The amount of ungratefulness in this thread actually shocks me.

I'm disappointed. For the sake of a few minutes of signing up to a few social sites and the potential need to get out of your chairs to take the odd picture I honestly cant believe the negativity.

If you don't want to get off your rears and venture out into the fresh air (yes shock horror, that is what is actually outside you know folks) you can be lazy and make a dodgy photo-shop if you really want to!

Its a $1000 CPU EX VAT!! 10 minutes of your lives when theres nothing on the TV and your bored is hardly going to hurt.

I honestly wish that I myself could could enter because this IS worth the effort unless life has not yet granted you the wisdom of what money is actually worth!

It's not being given away, it's being exchanged for marketing value, potentially ocuk could attract a lot of new customers from this, so whilst it's fine to suggest those who don't wish to enter don't have to would you also suggest that we don't have an opinion on it too ?

If this was being given away it would require nothing in the way of action, e.g great news all, we're giving away blah just type "entered" into this thread and we'll pull out a random winner on the 28th

to those who do enter best of luck

The amount of blatant anger at some of your customers and mocking them shocks me. And as has already been mentioned several times its not about TIME. Why the need anyway if its going to sit on a private twitter account with no one to look at it not happy with folk with facebook and people with 1000 friends but instead you want us to hand our details over to more people in the USA (twitter) then moan when we question it. Beggars belief really does.

Did you read the thread? Reasons above have already been stated. Some people do not WANT to be on facebook/twitter. Simple as.

Did you read the thread? It doesn't look like it. People have no issue with the photography and creativity aspect of it.

Nothing to do with getting off my skinny little bum, all to do with knowing that I'd waste time signing up to social networking sites for a competition I'd not win. It is a great prize etc. etc. but knowing the level of the sort of entry I'd put in, it's not worth my time attempting it when you factor in signing up to those sites as well.

I'm sure you'll get some fantastic entries and someone will be very happy, I'm not being negative towards the competition as a whole, just the fact you have to use social networking sites to be eligible.

Anyway, good luck to people that do enter. :)

FFS just send them a letter then read the small print you bunch of moaning gits, its not a £1 a min phone call or anything.

If I had a printer out here in Indonesia I'd be happy to take a couple of holiday snaps and tag them for the comp but i dont and my photoshop skills are nearly zero. If i was still in Korea id be up to the DMZ straight away to get a snap of them technically in North Korea.

No I just skimmed through it with my rose tinted spectacles expecting a $1000 CPU to be delivered to my house.

I have noticed this a lot of late as well. It really is sad. I mean sad in the real opposite of happy sad. Genuinely dissapointing as a loyal OCUK customer to see some of the posts from OCUK staff. Bit like in the thread about Sandy Bridge issues dictating what customers should/should not and do/do not do with their PCs. This is the issue OCUK.

I wonder why people don't realise how useful Twitter actually is. You don't have to use it to talk to people you know. I've signed up to tech blogs and news sites and it's easily the best way of getting news as soon as it happens.

It's principle too...why should people be left out because they don't want to sign up to stupid social media sites?

Principle? It's a free competition you don't have to enter. I can't remember people moaning because they couldn't design a logo, just I'm rubbish at photoshop but goodluck to those who do entre. Your attitude really is mind boggaling.

Really, is there such a problem with this competition?

We are offering a very good prize and you are pulling off topic? We have not dictated but advised. If you are more knowledgeable please share your water into wine wisdom.

Again, if you do not want to enter this competition due to the obviously difficult rules, we are not "enforcing" any rules. The rest of the community like the chance to win good prizes and the best technology. If you have no problem with a Voodoo graphics card, be my guest.
