Not sure it's clear whether it's just FE versions up for purchase/pre-order today. None of the reviews so far have covered anything other than the Flounders edition.

I was, but looking at the price performance ratio, I think the smart move (if there is such a thing in the world of GPU purchasing) would be to take advantage of the 1080 price drops and buy a top end 1080, when selling my two 970's, I should be able to get one of those new EVGA 2 1080's for no more than £450.

I like the sound of that. Better match for my 4690K as well, i7's are really the order of the day for Ti's.

I think one of those with an overclock will be more than enough for me at 1440p.

only FE will be in stock this/next week, others will start to be up for pre-order but not in stock until at least the end of march, maybe april for the most part

Hope you have £900+ ready for it. Starting to look good to buy a 2nd hand titan XP and adding a water block or a AIO type. Will work out cheaper.

I doubt enough TXP owner will switch right now to flood the market enough to make the price drop through the 800 mark.

And no, you dont need 900, my entire set, even from EVGA, cost 864.

No point for me - I bought a 980Ti back in 2015 - it conked out last year & OCUK gave me a 1080 as a replacement, and that's still going strong & meets my needs! :) I'm trying to get back into my old cycle of upgrading every 2 years when OC avenues are exhausted.

I remeber top end cards were £400 not 700odds lol I'll sit this round out lol.
This.

Nvidia have been guilty of some obscene profiteering - and that's before Gsync tax is added.
PC gaming will become absurdly niche with the prices they're charging - they must be killing big chunks of their own market.
Let's hope Vega shakes things up.
