Just read the Anandtech review, performance increase over the 1080 looks very promising! Need to wait and see what kinda prices the custom cards are :p

Waiting for the custom cooled cards my 980ti struggles with vr running high super sampling, hopefully the 1080ti can do 2x super sampling without retrojection.

Founder's Edition and stock clock benchmarks don't impress me at all. Makes me want to not even bother buying any GPUs a while. Hopefully AIB overclocked cards change my mind with their performance. Something that does 2100Mhz overclocked... now how would that perform?

Looking more and more likely I'll buy when it goes EOL (or Vega if it's cheap) though. I don't want to spend £800 on a GPU merely out of principle (I don't feel it should cost that much).

No chance. I've never spent £700 on a graphics card in my life, and wouldn't now especially considering i'd have to swap my freesync monitor for a gsync one at another couple of hundred quid premium.

I plan on watercooling the 1080ti FE so wont bother waiting for aftermarket cards as I don't see that there will be anything to gain going for an EVGA, MSI etc..

Test for a day at work on air to make sure it's all good before ripping my loop apart to fit it.

Same, I normally test for a few days before blocking it. I've never gone straight in but it would sure save some hassle in redoing my loop twice.

Good idea on running it on another rig, I have another pc (6600K) which I could do the same. Food for thought.

Compatible 1080Ti FTW with 1080 FTW blocks is all I need to hear and I'm getting a pair ;)

It is not going to happen sadly. You will need new blocks for a 1080 Ti.

Things like memory chips on the 1080 Ti are totally different (11 v 8) to the 1080.

Shush you :p

But really I know and I'm just in denial. Didn't EK say reference blocks were compatible or did I dream it... edit I did dream it, was the titan blocks that were.

You've got four of them - are the ports in standard placements vs. The 1080 blocks? Would be tempted if I'm able to do it without having to redo the plumbing also...
