I'm currently on a 980ti and honestly its doing fine in the games i'm playing at 1440p so i'll probably stick with it for longer and see what vega brings. If i do go for a 1080ti i'll get an aftermarket one for sure though. Maybe upgrade my monitor to a superwide instead.

Check out the bus size on the 1080 Ti

Well you win, 352 vs 384 :p

The most important thing is the specs are pretty much the same otherwise.

Yes the TXP overclocks well on water but so will the Ti. Possibly by a further 100mhz+ both underwater. Both on air the Ti will be the big clear winner.

I'll be getting the FE cards. Same footprint and size as my 1080's so no messing with new piping, waiting for custom cards/blocks etc.

Well if I decide to splash the cash on one, I am going to wait until November/December time by then plenty of custom cards and a game promotion or two and all being well the £ should be above 1.30 .

You will probably find the Titan and 1080 Ti overclock exactly the same on water as the same can be said of the Titan and 1080.

The real point that we must not overlook is you can now get Pascal Titan type performance for less than £700. This is something that I thought NVidia would not do but as they have it suggests that Vega is going to be a handful for them to counter.

It's so easy to watercool now I might be tempted, you don't even have to have a ridiculous custom loop to keep these really cool at good noise levels.
I have been considering that 360 predator, really a nice product, but their lack of warranty puts me off.

Definitely and I am very exited for this myself. Will see me until the Volta Ti hopefully.

While my 1080's are fast I think you'd agree, the FE power delivery or lack there of, and smaller memory bus lets it down at the higher resolutions.

The TXP still has its place as it will still likely be the fastest current nvidia card underwater (at a price of course).
