Man of Honour
The real question is who will hold out for the non reference 1080 ti of their choice or will they fold and get the FE version.

Do itOr...I could buy one. And then buy another later on Haha. I joke. But I really think that one 1080 Ti would be lovely. I will wait for benchmarks, and will probably go ahead with the EVGA one.
As a Titan XP owner, no I won't be getting one. After many years of constantly upgrading, I've decided I'm happy with what I've got and will hopefully enjoy it over the next 3~5 years and gradually moving down to 720p
I'm not playing the corporate big boys game for a while.
I would definitely wait, stock cooler is noisy once overclocked from what I understand. The real question is who will hold out for the non reference 1080 ti of their choice or will they fold and get the FE version.

Well you win, 352 vs 384
The most important thing is the specs are pretty much the same otherwise.
Yes the TXP overclocks well on water but so will the Ti. Possibly by a further 100mhz+ both underwater. Both on air the Ti will be the big clear winner.
Likely I'll be getting the FE cards. Same footprint and size as my 1080's so no messing with new piping, waiting for custom cards/blocks etc.
I have been considering that 360 predator, really a nice product, but their lack of warranty puts me off. It's so easy to watercool now I might be tempted, you don't even have to have a ridiculous custom loop to keep these really cool at good noise levels.
You will probably find the Titan and 1080 Ti overclock exactly the same on water as the same can be said of the Titan and 1080.
The real point that we must not overlook is you can now get Pascal Titan type performance for less than £700. This is something that I thought NVidia would not do but as they have it suggests that Vega is going to be a handful for them to counter.
I'm waiting to see what the price is like. $699 could be anywhere between £650 and £840 with the various taxes and additions.
the FE 1080 was 699 and that worked out at 619.99 so this should be the same right
