Who will be the new Doctor?

Well I'll give him a chance and that, but I hope they draw some eyebrows on him by the time he makes his first episode.

Very odd choice, but they said they knew it was him from his screentest, so i guess its best to judge when we see him on screen

His face does have an uncanny resemblance to something..

At first I thought Goonies.. then Total Recall.. but I cant put my finger on it exactly..

I'd only seen him in secret blah of a wotsit, and he didn't look THAT bigheaded, could be a bad picture.

[wooooah, take it back, just watched the BBC video. Jesus thats huge]

He DID look young though. I think it could be odd.

Good grief, he's far too young - and looks it. Even Tennant and Davison were able to summon up some gravitas when the occasion demanded.

This limp gimp looks like he belongs in an ITV soap.

After watching Jonathan Creek on iplayer last night I really wished that Alan Davis had got the part.

I think he would have made a great Dr Who.

Doctor Who, yep Who is he. I have never heard of this new guy. Very disapointed. I guess with the credit crunch and cut backs. they had to pick some one that was cheap. lol

It's a rebranding exercise. They've been dumbing the series down for a while; now they're just blatantly aiming for the "chicks who dig vaguely emo-looking guys" demographic.

Dr Who used to be a family show with humour, wit, suspense and intelligence; now it's just going to be "relationships soap lite" for adolescent girls.

I'll wait and see on this new doctor, but the writing of the show will make or break the next series.

I agree that we were spoiled with Eccleston and Tennant. At least they resisted the temptation to go for a female doctor/existing actor in the series.
