Now we know the fate of the clubs from the Italian match fixing scandal, which players would people most like to see their team go for?

I'll go first........

Man U

Buffon
Kaka
Pirlo
Ibrahimovic
Gattuso
Gilardino
Zambrotta
Oddo
Vieira

Obviously not all the players will be leaving and not all to the same club, but i'd like to think we're in with a chance of getting at least 1 or 2 of them.

Can't see Milan selling anyone, they'll be wanting to keep their squad together to push for European qualification next season. If anything they'll be looking to strengthen with some cheapo deals from the relegated clubs.

The thing about the three teams possibly going to Serie B, they'll look to hold on to most of their current players in order to get out of there and back into Serie A first.

If Juve do go down to Serie C look for the majority of their big names to leave.

Being an Inter fan, I hope we get awarded the Scudetto hehe

It's not that simple though, the players are all on big salaries and they have to put up with a big reduction in revenue:

-No european football for two years, unless they win the cup, and even then 1 year of UEFA cup won't help much
-Reduced TV revenue from not being in Serie A
-Potentially reduced gate receipts (italian fans are notoriously fickle, I remember only about 300(?) fans turned up to watch Juve vs Arsenal in the champions league)
-Potenially reduced sponsorship deals

For Juve it's even worse, since in all likelihood they will be facing 2 years in Serie B and hence THREE years out of europe.

Plus, there's player pressure. Do you think they are really want to put their careers on hold for a year or two? No, these top stars will want to be playing against the likes of Real Madrid and Inter Milan, not mickey mouse sides in Serie B.

It's true that some of the players involved will stay at their clubs, infact I belive most of the big name players will probably stay and help the club out of trouble.

However, by law of averages some of the big name players will end up moving on for one reason or another. Don't forget, 2 years is only the minimum amount of time before we will see these clubs back in europe. I would expect any players aged from around 27 and upwards to be seriously considering their future.

Milan will be a season without European football, not 2 - I don't think their 15 pt deduction will keep them out of the UEFA cup places.

Milan may lose Kaka, but can't see anyone else leaving - Chelsea's money will come in handy.

Lazio - nobody cares about them ;)

Fiorentina - Luca Toni will leave for sure

The biggest loser is Juventus - 2 years of Serie B, I doubt they will be able to hold many players. Can see pretty much everyone over 25 leaving...

I cant be bothered typing all this again, so this is a shameless rip of my post in the other thread. :p

Its funny, because people will be expecting the likes of Cannavaro, Zambrotta, Buffon, Toni, ect; to be moving out of Italy. Unlikely.
The only Italians likely to goto teams outside of SeriaA are the ones who have no chance of getting into the national team anyway.

In a funny sort of way, this works out well for Milan. The stars of our current squad said they'd only stay if we stayed in SeriaA, so baring any lieing on their parts, our squad stays how it is. And with the other 3 relegated, we can effectivly rejuvinate our entire squad for a pittance.

The other 3 teams have GOT to sell, and its likely that a lot of the normally expensive players will come down in price a lot, due to other teams taking the micky on transfer costs.

Buffon was interested in going Milan before it all broke out, that looks like a possible move. As does Oddo. So theres our GK & RB troubles sorted. If we can get Cannavaro, he'll be ideal to replace Stam. Zambrotta would be nice as well. Toni would be an ideal replacement for Sheva as well.
It'll be interesting to see what moves Milan makes in the transfer market now...

Kaka's the big one however. If he goes, then Gourcoff will have to start playing first team football strait away unless we can get a replacement who'll do a similar job to Kaka.
I'd like to stick my neck out on this one and say that Kaka wont leave.
But tbh, im not so sure.
On the bright side, at least Gatussos staying. :D

Well i think Paul Le Guen is going to get Buffon, Cannavaro and Gatusso is going to come back to Rangers again :p :p

I wish, i wonder who's going to leave if there appeals get them nowhere.

I support liverpool and i would not have eny italian cheats in the squad
Firstly its any not eny; sorry its just been bugging me from the other thread.

I would be interested in Trez (cant spell his name so wont try) Ibrahimovic or Toni; Liverpool need another striker and presuming we get Alves thats most of our cash gone so they would be the only 3 (decent) strikers we may be able to get on the cheap. Ive been assured by boom that Toni wont leave Italy (he's the man in the know when it comes to Italian transfers  :D ). As for the other 2; i prefer Ibrahimovic but iirc he has a bit of a reputation of being lazy which i dont think Rafa would put up with so it then leaves Trez. There are a few other players that i wouldnt mind but most important is the striker.

Edit\ just seen an article quoting Rafa talking about Juve players on the cheap and mentioned Trez particuarly possibly on loan

I was thinking, contracts with players in top devisions only ever have 1 layer of 'protection', and thats from relegation.
So really, regardless of if a player wants to leave Milan, they cant unless Milan want to sell.
Suprised i didnt think of that when i was thinking about Kaka.

Im hoping that Milan use the £30m+ from Sheva to get the players we need from the clubs being relegated. That £30m would buy us a new defence, a midfielder, and a good strike partner for Gila. With Gallani suspended, we wont be seeing any of his policy (cheap as chips and over 30!). :p

But will Milan be able to afford to keep there players; CL alone is worth around £20-30m depending on success, then there are sponsors who may not pay as much due to not being in the CL and on top its now questionable wether Milan will be in the CL the year after as well. So could cost Milan in the region of £60m

We have a new sponser, giving us 5 times the amount Opel was giving us. That alone is worth millions per season.
Add to that Silvio being back at the helm and being more involved, i think so. I think we can survive a season. Thats if we dont get into the UEFA Cup, which would be another, small, boost to income.
