Who's getting a 7*** Series Card or Nvidia equivalent

not sure what im gonna do yet, ive got a saphire 5850 ocd but in bf3 it feels like its struggling and afterburner is reporting more vram usage than the card has onbaord :(

The card itself is fine for handling the game on high settings and gives good fps staying above 30fps most of the time. The problem is as you mentioned that it potential is limited by only 1GB vram which runs out many times bringing the fps to even single digit figures. If 5850 had 2GB by default, card would be running many latest games fine.

I will if they are priced sensibly. I bought a 5830 rather than a 6950 so I could grab something next gen, but i'm a student and don't have unlimited cash.

I hate waiting... im looking at getting a second-hand 6950 @ 6970 for my first crossfire goodness!

I hope i dont have to much trouble getting them to run together... :D

Not me I'm making my new rig last me 2 years, I think i'll be fine on a GTX 580 @ 1920 x 1080 for 2 years anyway :)

I, along with a lot of 5850 owners who have been pondering crossfire will wait for the 7000 series :)

I know we don't know much about the cards, but what will the 7850 be like today's 6850 ? Or 6950? If you know what I mean? Will it be like the 5850 when it was introduced? Or is that going to be the 7950?

:/

I'd say more likely to be around 6950 performance, maybe a little under but near enough. We shall see. :)

Tbf, nothing is really taxing what i have at the minute, but id prefer something a bit less power hungry.

If I feel the need, haven't played anything yet where my GTX470 SLI setup hasn't been perfectly capable, so unless I pickup a 2560x res display or move to 3 screens probably wait for the refresh.
