Who's getting a 7*** Series Card or Nvidia equivalent

^^ I would have thought that should be fine.

I can see me staying with my 26" 1920x1200 for quite sometime yet. My interest will awaken when I find one that can do 1920x1200 or higher, 3d and 120hz. The only problem then is that if I do graduate to a higher res, then it will probably become necessary to have at least two gpu's, that's why I'd be happy to change to 3d and 120hz, but leave the res as it is. :D

Im currently on a 1920x1200 benq fp241w, a cracking high quality lcd, but id prefer something a bit faster for fps games. Ill find it a bit odd though going from 1200 - 1080, but ill keep the 241w as a secondary screen for film use, due to it's excellent viewing angles and black depth.

Sure I might as well but I think I can resist until Nvidia show their hand. Don't think I can go back to a single card setup unless they produce a massive performance increase, 7990 or 690 next time around I think.

stop gaming at prehistoric resolutions like 1080p and get into modern pc gaming. I cant wait for the new cards i'll be getting two of them most likely nvidia this time.

^^ Personally my eyes get quite fatigued playing games on larger sized monitors whereas 24" I can play for hours without problem, as half my gaming is multiplayer FPS I get far more optimal results playing on a 22" panel at 120Hz as well.

Stop gaming at prehistoric frequencies like 60hz and get into modern pc gaming.

;)

+1 i used to game on a 32" hdtv and i couldnt play for more than about an hour before my eyes were really hurting, now i game on a smaller screen and can play for much longer :)

The gpu horsepower required is too expensive for me for anything more than 1920x1200/1080. Especially if you want to use a decent amount of aa etc.

think it will be a new cpu and case before replacing 2 6850's

they handeld bf3 without a problem, dont see anything on the horizon that will challenge cards much.

honestly depends on what the price is, and what real benchmarks come out... probly wait till the 7 series is out and hopefully cards like 580 will come down quite a lot in price

Currently gaming with a single 470GTX, at stock , on 1080p 23" monitor playing mostly Skyrim, not into BF3 or such like, having no problems at all playing skyrim. Was tempted a while back to go 470SLI but resisted and I am now waiting to see the pricing on the 7870\7950\70. Starting to get the feeling we are gonna get shafted on pricing which will mean I will not upgrade at all and wait to see if prices get real. Not hopeful.:(

currently running a 4890, but my cousin is sending me his gigabyte 5770 in the week which is nice of him. Im currently temp working up till the xmas period so I will wait until the 7000 series cards come out.

im also running 2 monitors one at 1680x1050 res and 1920x1080

IF the performance gap is as good as the rumors, then I'll probably jump to a pair of 7970's next summer, let the market calm down a little and the prices settle.

Its probably overkill for 1080p @ 120hz, but god damn I love overkill :D

You will be in for a shock then as the 4890 is the quicker card. See this. Only advantage the 5770 has is DX11.:)

I got a 120hz projector and i dont see anything special about it i can hardly tell any difference in smoothness. I prefer the higher resolution of my monitor. I would get 3 x 120hz monitors but the bezels would drive me crazy.
