Who's getting a 7*** Series Card or Nvidia equivalent

I only have a 6870 1gb, but I only really play MMO's , so upgrading wouldn't make much difference.

Quite possibly. My current computer was built at the end of 2007, its lasted me well and still runs most stuff at 1440x900. However, I will have finished uni this year and will probably have some student loan to burn, so I will probably do a nice upgrade then! :)

Definitely. My 5770 snuffed it the other day (no idea why, just happened mid-game) so I'm currently using an ancient nVidia 7300 LE. Completely useless for anything remotely resembling a game. I can't afford a new card now, but probably will after my brithday in January, so the timing works quite nicely. If the specs leaked a couple months ago are accurate, I'll probably go for a 7870. Mabye a 7950 if the performance upgrade is worth it.

To me it depends on the performance gains/new features on the new products for me to update, but I do feel this time I will be waiting till Nvidia release their 680 card so I can compare with what AMD have out and hopefully if AMD get their act together with their driver problems and they are showing they have a decently priced card with good performance/features I will buy into their product again. BUT I will be waiting probably 6 months and watching the forums and the interwebs and looking to see if AMD really has fixed their driver issues.

I want a 7850!

I sold an ATI 9600 Pro 256MB today and got £15 for it

It was lying in a box of parts from years ago

So it'll be 7850 price minus £15 = ????????????????????????????????

Possibly a 7950 but it depends on both the price and performance increase. If too expensive or not enough extra juice i'll probably just pick up a second 6950 at some point.

Plan to go for a 7950 or 7970 from my 1GB 5850 so long as the price-performance ratio isn't horribly skewed compared to the 7870.

I am not going to. I have a 5870 which is fine for my gaming needs, BF3 mainly, on high settings.

I have had enough of spanking vast sums of cash for a few frames and some eye candy. If anything, I will pick up a 2gb 6950 / 6970 when they start dropping in price.

I will definately get a top single GPU from next gen. Not overly bothered if its NV / ATI. I just need to keep my 120Hz screen filled with smoothness!;)

I probably wont bother.. ill leave my blocked GTX580s as they are as im looking at the best part of £1000 between 2 cards and will be luck to see £500 back. With that in mind Ill probably end up downgrading which is a no go in my view. Id rather wait for NV 7 series and ATI 8 series before giving it any thought.
