I'm worried, been playing Pes2008 for about an hour and rivatuner is showing 89dc! Mine is BFG OC version. I've not overclocked it and am new to rivatuner, how do i increase the fan speed?

Hey Raikiri, it would be great if you can post up some of those screenies for us all, I think this thread will be a useful reference for a lot of people interested in cooling their little demons! On stock cooling mine hit 96c at one point during Crysis... now it barely reaches 45-46 overclocked with the S1+120mm fan.
If anyone who owns an 8800GT and has RivaTuner Installed can you please download this demo below and run it for 600000 ms (10 mins) and post a screenie* of Riva's hardware monitoring page (like the picture in the first post).
*ALT + Printscreen to grab just the active window rather than the whole desktop.
Thanks in advance!
I just wouldn't be comfortable with a card hitting 95 degrees.
Thanks for the Affirmation guys, it appears that I am not the only person who gets a bit *scratchy* when something is that toasty!I wouldn't be too impressed having anything run at that temperature in my PC
Hi,
When I've sold my 7800GTI shall be purchasing a 8800GT but going by the post I can see the temps being a problem in my case, could someone recommend a after market cooler that will offer cooling for the ram chips as well as the core?
Thx,
ManC

How anyone could even think of overclocking with temps like that at stock is beyond me![]()

... Would wish i could just make it do 75% or something like that in all 3D applications, but 30% in Windows ...
Hi Will,My fan never ever changed from 29% even in games, just stick to 29 unless drivers are causing problem?
Hi Will,
well I know where your coming from thinking that, I also thought the same however when I set the fan to a *fixed* 29% and ran the test I had a nasty suprise!
The first thing that happened was I could hear the fan trying to rev itself up to full speed while the test was in full flow, but because I had set Rivatuner to a *fixed* 29% the fan couldn't go any faster

Yes 108°C is *officially* very hot!!!!!!!!
And then there was the smell, can't say what it was like but just think hot metal lol
Anyway the benchmark finished and nothing crashed!
If there are any more nOObzoids out there like me then whatever you do don't fix your fanspeed any lower than 40%. I have a set of results from running the fan from between 40% to 100% but I can't post all that now because I'm at work![]()
