Looks like I wont be getting one, for now at least. Friends dad is over in Vegas and was looking to pick one up for me. He's there now and apparently they're out of stock, receiving new stock every day, but people are queueing up from 5am every day to get one!

Yeah we did but they said if we find it anywhere else before they can fulfil the order, that they can refund it no probs over the phone (at least that's how I interpreted it). Even if it is just done in the shop, it isn't a problem

yep none of the top specs either.

Last time everyone went for 16gb wifi only.
This time everyones gone for 32/64gb wifi+3g.

several places I can find lower models.

For example johnlewis appear to have
Apple iPad 2 MC979B/A Wi-Fi, 16GB, White

Oh that's it, they had more selection 30mins ago.
