I guess it's entirety dependant on what the local delivery depot is like but for me, DPD/very closely followed by Royal Mail.
Both very dependable, others are very hit/miss.

DPD and RM

Evri gets a bad rep but I’ve only ever had one issue with them not delivering a parcel before xmas that mysteriously disappeared. Other than that, they’ve always been fine.

Voted DPD. Royal Mail are also fine but do have that issue where they hardly knock on the door / don't use the intercom.

Evri are actually fine for me but it's mainly down to it being the same bloke every time so he must be doing a decent job.

No issues with UPS either. Haven't used the others often enough to have an opinion.

For the sheer number of deliveries I've had, I have to say Royal Mail are the most consistent and my preference when purchasing. I've had some delays from time to time but I would say that the parcels seemed to be handled well from start to finish (e.g. I've had things arrive in good condition with minimal packaging, that wouldn't have survived with other carriers.)

Localised experience does make a big difference as others have said but I simply refuse to use Evri for sending and pray that the person has made the package bomb-proof, if they've sent something with them. DPD have been pretty good and they do seem most willing to provide you with infromation on a delivery window, which allows you a bit of freedom. The rest, being from NI, I wouldn't have a large enough sample size to really rate.

Because you can't order something from a business that's not on Amazon and have it delivered by Amazon.
this isn't OCUK? the customer service number is OCUKS

only about 7 of the listed items dispatch from amazon though, I'm surprised a big heavy case does.

DPD and RM
RM tracked 48 and RMSD are standouts in particular, because of the insurable value available.
It would be way more expensive to get any other delivery company to insure up to the value that T48/RMSD provides

I think with evri it very much depends on your local guy.

The guy that had been doing it here was spot on. Last time I spoke to him was getting promoted, fair enough guy deserved it, so hopefully whoever is going to take over is ok.

Roughly in order
DPD - about the only time they've failed it was because the driver literally could not get here due to a crash or something.

RM are usually very good BUT they've started delivering stuff to us from another depot, usually it seems when they've not managed to get it to the local office and realised it's got a tracking number that is going to show late in the stats if it's delivered the next working day (so we'll get a package at 6pm on a sunday from [next delivery office over]).

Evri and Yodel the drivers are great, but their depots are terrible.

UPS/Fed-ex (I can never remember which) seems to update it's delivery estimates based on US time, so "we expect delivery by end of business on the 23rd" is still showing at 2 am on the 24th...

RM for me.. the post man is nice enough to follow instructions for other courier companies lol…

I had evri leave a parcel outside my door, where anyone could have just picked it up and walk off with it. I have a very small unfenced front garden… and they sent me the “your parcel have been left in a safe place” photo in an email. The post man saw it and picked it up and popped it over my garden gate, as per the instructions for all my parcels. :)

I think all online stores should clearly state which delivery company they use and if possible give the buy the option of who to use. I for one would pay extra for a good delivery service than have to put up with the bs of some delivery companies.

Voted DPD and Royal Mail.

Interesting that other people seem to have nice Evri drivers too. Our regular Evri driver is a nice cheerful guy sometimes have a little chat and he says hello to the dog etc :). Unfortunately the parcels do sometimes arrive a little bit battered, and the driver will sometimes just leave parcels completely out in the open if you're not there.

DPD have generally always been good. All others are dependent on the area.

Why isn't Parcel Farce (intended) on the list? They are terrible around Camden.

The one that gets my parcel to me on time and undamage.

Probably RM has the highest satisfaction rate from me

DPD by a mile.

Royal Mails "tracked" service is a complete joke - "your tracking information will appear once we have tried to deliver the package"

Yodel should be prosecuted for falsely advertising as a courier service.
