Royal Mail and DPD best for me in my area - DPD has by far the best and most accurate delivery times though - how I wish every service had that much tracking detail. Should be standard to be able to track the driver and know where you are in the pecking order :D

UPS has the worst tracking updates of all them for me - but they're great for heavier collections - my stuff arrives just usually a day or two later than advertised.

Evri - were the worst but current driver has been flawless and everything is delivered on time these days (before I'd get returns to amazon etc stolen) and me out of pocket.

Good test for the ever reliable RM.
A buyer in ebay bought an item wanting it for Xmas on 20th.

RM are only courier I would even consider to get it there on time. Managed to get to the post office and away on Saturday. Looks like it's already at destination MC 24 hours later.

This only cost 4.25 for a small parcel with 150 insurance.
Still think that's unbeatable.

Amazing how on the other side of the country RM would ask what Xmas would you like it nearestish.

Interesting poll that highlights major differences across the country.

I send RM parcels all over the country. So I find it bizarre how many complaints RM get on here. Worst I've had recently is a tracked 48 taking 3 days.

My DPD ranting however knows no bounds! :D

DPD without a doubt. Evri deserve a special place in hell.
This. I've used Evri quite a bit this year though for sending parcels. Rather than getting one of their 'Drivers' to collect said parcels, I use inpost lockers for them to collect from instead. if I send multiple parcels (I try not to) about a week later i get an email saying part of the delivery is missing. I consider that to be par for the course and a risk I have to take as the other end pays for transit, the contents arent that valuable.
