DPD drive behind mine, look through the main entrance corridor.
realise the back entrance is only for people who live here and doesn't have an intercom.
take a photo and drove off claiming no access

when they can clearly see another entrance from the rear parking.

I can't order from any companies who use them

I'm surprised anyone voted DPD they killed their rep during the last decade.

aren;t most of their drivers on a gig system now? like deliveroo drivers
Can’t you just stop the bloke when you see the van pull up and let him know? It’s generally the same driver doing the route around here most days. I’m pretty sure you can contact the driver as well with delivery instructions from the app can’t you?

DPD by a mile.

Royal Mails "tracked" service is a complete joke - "your tracking information will appear once we have tried to deliver the package"

Yodel should be prosecuted for falsely advertising as a courier service.
That RM is normally what you get if it is sent Signed For, which does not track prior to delivery attempt.
Tracked 24 & 48 are good for me.
Evri girl round here is great, and really puts in the hours. Replacement on occasion is a bit random though.
Only real moan I have is, it’s 2024, and UPS only take cash at door for customs charges. Seriously?

I think most of them are OK overall, but it very much depends on the final delivery person. If it’s a regular who knows the area and any address oddities, great.
Occasional drivers are usually where problems occur.

UPS for sending parcels. They tend to be reasonably priced if you need compensation and it’s heavy but not large as they charge by size. RMSD is fantastic if it’s under 2kg and expensive. Tracked 48 with £150 compensation is quite reasonable too.

Yodel in my area but only because of the fantastic driver. If something is meant to arrive on a Monday, he often arrives a full 48 hours earlier on the Saturday.

DPD for me. I can track where the courier is and know when to expect delivery. If other couriers offered this kind of tracking, Amazon apart, I'd choose them too.

Evri in my local area are great, mainly due to the guy who runs the round, DPD are atrocious with most deliveries being redirected to a local collection point with a 'sorry we missed you' notification, local meaning at least 5 miles away and 'sorry we missed you' translating as 'we never even bothered to try delivery'.

My local Evri driver is a great bloke. But the rest of the system and most people within it leaves a lot to be desired, although I have used them a lot for selling over the years and I've been lucky I think. Don't bother with their 'next day' service, it'll arrive later than if it was a 2-3 day!

Royal Mail are shocking. I've had more issues with them than anyone else, both sending and receiving. But that could be because they're the most popular so issues are more likely. The cost of sending letters now is ludicrous.

DPD and UPS have both been very good to me.

DX allow you the option to leave in a safe place but the driver's refuse saying it must be accepted by someone, useless.

Hey hey guys,

I was curious about who your favourite courier was when receiving parcels. I've put up a poll so that you can place your vote. :)

Contract up for tender is it :D

Royal mail for me, purely because ours is very reliable. They're starting to contract out to all the rubbish ones though, so dunno how long that'll last.

I genuinely don’t have a fave and can’t get excited, just to point out an error though OP, you have listed Evri as a courier company???

Where I am RM, DPD and Amazon direct all offer me a great delivery service. I know to say morning to both the RM and Amazon people who do my area and DPD generally always seem to come during their hour they give. I also like that RM will collect from my house at no cost.

DPD/RM/UPS are all of a muchness round here; they deliver reliably when they say they will (although the only things I really get from UPS are Dell monitors...)

Evri: the usual guy is great, unfortunately whenever we have a different driver there's almost always an issue, and dealing with the actual company is a nightmare, the only way to actually get in touch with them is to report damage to your property!
Yodel: turn up when they feel like it, parcels are usually bashed about a bit.
DHL: not much experience really, although I'm currently waiting on a parcel from them, shipped from Liverpool to Birmingham, and it's currently in Germany

I dont know, but deffo not amazon

I ordered a present for my mum from the black friday sales from amazon

they sent it, I have a 30 day trial of prime, it came at 7:30pm at night, i was in, the lights were on, no one knocked on the door, instead, they shoved it right at the bottom of my black bin outside, the one that you put general waste in, so it was right at the bottom of the smelly wheely bin (they didnt even put it in the normal green waste bin where you usually put clean waste such as grass etc)

Not only that, but amazon did not use an outer box, so it was just the alexa box, which was now really smelly

No ******s given. they could have knocked on my door
