Im not considering going top tier, it's too much money to spend on one component!

So long as I see a substantial performance increase over my 2080ti @ 1440p UW i will probably bite

If there is a 5070 or similar card that can match the 4080 for around £500 i would be tempted. But I suspect the closest will be 4070ti level for £650 + at which point that's a big ol' nope from me.
same for me £500 ish is my max nearly went on a 4070 super but going to wait a little while

current is 6700xt from the day days of covid

Got a 3080, want to get a 5070/5080 but all dependent on pricing and performance.

If not, I'll buy a 4080 Super off someone or a 4090 for a discount :D

Not for me - just got a 2nd hand 4090. Might even get another if the prices drop enough as I can use multi GPUs in Davinci Resolve

I'm still rocking a 1660 Super which is actually *fine* in most games for me still. I'm interested to see pricing on the 5000 series. I'd like something for under £400 which rules me out of most of the range. If the 5060/5070 come out with low VRAM I'll go elsewhere. If the 5070 is decent and under £500 I'd consider it.

Rumour is 5060 will be 8GB, 5070 12GB

5080 if it's sub £1k otherwise I'll stick with the 3080 for a while longer. Don't really play modern games anymore so not in a rush.
Same. I took an absolute bath on my 3080 12gb (paid £1k in April 2022 because I was convinced prices weren't going down). I'm not getting fleeced again so I want the best price/perf at a 50% uplift minimum.

Yeah, I've heard that. If that is true I can't imagine myself buying a 5060 - certainly not at the price it will sell for. I probably won't buy a 5070 either if it sells for silly money, which is probably will.

I'll probably buy an Intel B580 if that is the case or see if I can get a discounted deal on a 4000 series card.

I can't make up my mind between the 5060 or the 5060 Ti. The reviews show an impressive uplift from last gen. I'm tempted to go for the 5060 Ti because it's got the full x16 lanes.

I am of course talking nonsense because the reviews haven't been released. Do you all honestly love and trust Nvidia so much that the reviews don't matter? How can you have possibly decided you're going to buy one?

Doesn't look like the 5080 will be much if any improvement over my 7900XTX and I'm certainly not paying north of two grand for a 5090, so a used 4090 it is then!

Should probably be plenty of availability this time round if Trump slaps tariffs on everything in January
Should be plenty for the bots to snap up then, resellers will be awash with them
