I'm arguing with the idea there's nothing you can't do on windows. If you prefer FCP then you buy a Mac, if you prefer Avid or whatever you buy a PC. Simple. For personal use it's exactly the same with different apps, I use Aperture for my photography, it was the reason I first got a Mac because I used it once and decided I needed it. I could likewise use Adobe Lightroom on a PC, but I don't like the app as much, not as inituitive to use IMO. So I have a Mac, because I can't run Aperture on a PC. That's a good reason to have one.
Neither platform is better, I've never claimed that. There are good and compelling reasons to use both, for some people Windows make sense, for others a Mac offers more.
That's why I don't understand the hatred these threads seem to generate - very few Mac users, certainly not me, will ever claim that OSX is perfect and the best option in every circumstance but Windows users tend to feel the need to claim it's rubbish in all circumstances. Which is false.
