Why does it hurt so much?

Although it's hard, don't take it personally. I'd do the exact same thing. It just helps some people get over another person.
 
Its hard when you care about people, probbably not as relevent to your situation maybe because we had been having problems for quite a while i guess, but my most recent ex turned up to have "the conversation" basically saying i wasnt giving her enough attention etc, buying her dinner, why do i not encourage my parents to like her more, (they had fallen out with her as she never wanted to go home and didnt work or earn any money hardly for a whole year), make more plans with her (as she finally ran out of money completely and had to get a job)

Then it turned out she had met a guy the friday before and texting him! she even went as far as putting that she was out with this guy on facebook later the following week! bizarre, i felt like i hadnt done a thing right in two years they way she was talking to me, and now i have no idea if its about that or about this other guy! Apparently he is always nice to her even though he has only known her 2 weeks (I think this maybe should be telling her something) and tells everyone how nice he thinks she is.

Sufice to say i need to leave her alone for a while, I have told her i have no interest in been her friend as i have plenty of friends, she has said how much she loved me and how great we might be together in the future and that its a shame.

This thread shows exactly why you should never date a girl in your friendship group, so that if this day ever comes you would have cut her and her friends off completely so you never have to find **** like this out.
