If it did mean one slot, could we see micro/ITX boards with more PCIE?
Now I'm by no means an expert in cooling, but would binning off that connector and the associated electronics create more room for airflow which would increase the performance of the reference coolers on Nvidia cards?
Who still uses DVI? It's dated now isn't it? Most people are on display port, and if DVI is a must, then there are adapters available.
Thoughts?
Really? Where did I say that?![]()
There in your first post. Did you forget what you typed ?![]()
Well you would quite happily see DVI being stripped off without question in order for possibly better cooling.
which standard is winning between hdmi and dp?...i thought hdmi was the prevailing standard as it was in there first and good enough and now pervasive?..is DP making a resurgence??
Are modern GPU's fitted with dp 1.3?

I don't see where I said the following:
Not one hint of it. You're putting words into my mouth.
I asked if removing the connector would give better airflow and cooling. I never said 'stripped off without question'.
I then asked who still uses DVI.
So no, I didn't forget what I wrote, but you've seemingly chosen to forget how to read.
... would binning off that connector and the associated electronics create more room for airflow which would increase the performance of the reference coolers ... ?
DVI is old tech, it's been around for a long long time. There's no snobbery about it, I was just wondering. Jeez.
True, we still have PS/2 connectors.![]()
