It's always been like that, and people have always said it's going downhill, it was better two years ago. Guess what, they were saying that two years ago. And two years before that. And so on.

There can be some good banter towards members who are aware of each other and that I do enjoy. It's more that anyone with less than 1000 posts gets mobbed by patronising comments as soon as they do anything that meanders away from the norm.
 
Its the same in motors aswell now, just too much damn bitching all round, too many cliques and what not, quite tiresome really.

On-topic: Overall this forum is too easy to offend I find unfortunately. Perhaps people should relax on the internet more. Real life sucks enough and is too serious as it is. I come on OCUK to not have to deal with politeness and responsible comments (all the time).

That's what I was getting at though. Make stupid threads and people are going to climb on them. Don't forget forums are relatively anonymous so people really do speak what they feel.

People feel the same in the real world, it's just that it's prudent to keep a lid on emotions and rants.
 
I've been away from these forums for a long while until today, and I too noticed the increased cynicism. What's the matter people? :p
