Why the anger?

I'm not sure if it is anymore "angry" than normal.

I agree though that some of the threads are a little silly - especially the "I hate this celeb, or lol celeb got hit". I don't see how you can hate anyone that much that you don't know or hasn't even really done anything to wrong you personally.

I can understand hate towards a political figure because they influence your life, but celebs.... well they don't. Something comes on you don't like you turn the channel. OCUK is a pretty diverse forum, but I do agree though that some people do have pretty strong view points on certain issues.

But then, it's only an extension of expression of what real life is like.

Yeah but its better than some relationship thread where the OP is 'complaining' about being knee-deep in pussy.

Not really - lol'ing because a woman who hasn't done anything gets punched isn't exactly astounding. Meh, I just never understood how you can grow to dislike a celeb that much. There are a few I actually get frustrated over, but then I can change the channel easy enough.

Relationship and "I think I am getting scammed on an auction" are GD staple threads though. I feel it amazing if a day goes by without at least one or the other! :p

I prefer the 'spec me' threads as a staple in GD. Always something ridiculous needing to be specced! When will the speccing end!?

\:D/

The specs will never be finished. I predict a "spec me something to be specced for" thread someday. I truly do.

"Gaiz I'm thinking I need something, don't quite know yet but could you help me spec it please... I'm in need of it in the near-ish future... maybe".

Make me laugh atleast. :p

Edit - Seek GD has given me a few laughs past couple weeks the best was the upsurge in Women threads then people pretending to turn gay. What a strange day.

Was very funny... if not a little disturbing!

Also the "GD is going downhill" threads are also a staple of GD. Just on more of a bi-monthly basis, rather than a daily basis.

Who do these people think they are!! Concerned about the quality of the forums! BURN THEM!!!!!

It's only an internet forum, I wouldn't get too wound up over it.

Don't worry, I'm not wound up :)

It's just I noticed that everybody is a bit more vicious at trivial things recently and more cynical - it seems I'm not alone in my observations either! I agree with semi-pro waster that the forum definitely goes in cycles, so I look forward to the next 'peak' :D

I don't think the forum has gone overly downhill - just that responses towards anything are seemingly more aggressive. The banter is always welcome, I'm just alarmed how people want to cheese grater the face of any man who wears track suit bottoms - lazy student scum *shakes fist* :p

People keep telling me that I don't need to correct grammar, spelling or pronunciation errors. They fail to understand that I am quite aware that I don't need to, I simply want to.

Were you refering to my edit? I thought you meant what I originally said, silly me. I think me and you had a conversation in the thread. :p

 Lies! I was back to the wall all the way.

LOL.

Have to agree with the OP. I just think its too easy to hide behind a screen name and I'd love to know how much different some of the people are in real life. Probably an awful lot of computer gamers, and other IT strange people (myself included!).

The thing that really gets up my nose is all the gayness of the 'owned', 'pwned', forum speak which I actually have not got a clue what it all means.
