Wildstar New MMO (NCSoft and Carbine Studios)

Subscription based, brave choice and one I personally like.

Same here, it means I can put down some money and not worry about having to spend more for extra content. Mechanics won't be tailored to making people want or have to spend more.

That's of course knowing very well they have a F2P model planned out because it's inevitable. The amount of money I've seen people spend on some F2P games is atrocious.

and within a year it will be ftp ;)

If a game is good, people will pay for it, dozens of examples will show this.
If it's no good, the studio and publishers have to find different ways to get money to keep afloat.

I'm quite shocked at how many people dislike subs now, I'm completely on the other side of the fence. PS2 was my last greatest example I hated the costs of everything.
I did buy some during a x2(or3) sale which gave me a great load of items, but then everyone I played with quit and the other more active group was on another faction.

So I would have to buy everything again, but I'd rather pay the cost of what, a single weapon (may need to buy £8 worth of SC) for a months sub to play with everything. :|

And, who cares if it goes ftp? Blizzards next one will be ftp most likely ;)

Anyway, latest dev vid is up and its on CC, got some very cool concepts in there (seem to say that a lot about this game :D)

Here

I think there is a new closed Beta stage coming again soon, they have just rejigged a few things (quest experience, mob tagging and associated xp). I've said it a few times but some of the slants they are throwing at the the standard MMO functions look really cool (CC for one example).

I'm really looking forward to it, the art style won't be to everyones taste, but you can really see the vanilla WoW flavor coming through the pores of the game (understandable as a lot of the devs worked on vanilla WoW).

I'm looking forward to Wildstar. Has some interesting ideas to make zones replayable with alts using different paths :)

No need to keep targeting a mob to do damage. Mobs take damage if they happen to be in your weapon hit zone.

Tera already does this and it is a lot better then tab targetting
