Will the horns ruin the World Cup?

These horns (vuvuzelas) are getting to me now.

I heard one moment in the England game the other day, lasted for barely 30 seconds when some of the fans started singing loud enough to drown them out. It was serene.

Ohh i dunno, there's a few on 606 tonight on the side of Robbie Savage.. ofcourse as you'd expect, he's all for them.

These horns really do take a lot away from the atmosphere of the game. Like someone said if it had a musical tune to it then fair enough but its like a giant hungover bee.

Maybe we should start a protest or collection of names to send to ban it.

Annoying as hell

Asked whether he'd consider getting rid of the trumpets, he said: "If there are grounds to do so, yes. We did say that if any land on the pitch in anger we will take action."

PLEASE someone be a hero and throw one on the pitch...even better throw one at the German players...we might stand a chance then :D

We need to get a message to every England fan to buy one and then all throw them onto the pitch.
Job done.
Oh and use them as weapons.

Can't say it has bothered me at all so far to be honest. I have learnt to drown it out and not pay attention to it :)

I emailed them also.

I have resorted to turning the sound off for the matches that i have watched however this leads to another problem....

I can hear my wife moaning about the football being on, and i sometimes miss things because i cant hear the commentators screaming on the telly!

Dont know which i would rather hear, the trumpets or the wifes constant drone!

it a very british attitude..we dont like it, so we want it banned, regardless of the fact that the south africans who are hosting it are happy with it and its widely used throughout the continent

We don't want it banned just not allowed at the matches. They can blow it elsewhere :p

Also it's not AFRICA's cup it's the WORLD cup and the WORLD is annoyed at the noise.

Even the South African team have been complaining. It's not just us by a long shot.
