Can the 3G do video recording with the 3.0 OS?

If not, why not?
No, Video Recording isn't a feature that comes with 3.0 OS - instead it comes in the 3G. This is purely because the iPhone 3G has a camera only capable of taking pictures, whereas the iPhone 3G can take pictures at 3MP and videos at 30fps VGA.

iPhone 3G S 16GB - £440.40
iPhone 3G S 32GB - £538.30

I'm undecided at the moment but I was originally intending on purchasing the 32Gb version. However, the prices are making me sway towards to the 16Gb version instead :( Will see how things pan out when the reviews start coming through.
 That's a little pricey for me, you could get a laptop for less. I may just get an ipod touch for the apple apps and keep my n82 for phoning people...

16Gb looks to be the one to get tho, £100 for an extra 16gb seems like quite a bit.

No. Not until they drop the ridiculous tethering charge.

Shame - this was going to be my first Apple product until O2 borked up the pricing.

I'm thinking about buying the 16GB 3G S on PAYG, and getting O2 Simplicity...

iPhone = £440, O2 sim = £19.58/month = £675
iPhone 3G S = £90, O2 iPhone Contract = £44/month = £882

Just the £440 upfront, though! :p

Ok thanks for the answer. I like video so the 3GS is for me :)

Not a chance! I'll be happy with my 8GB 3G and the new 3.0 Firmware. I'd rather upgrade to the next model which will hopefully be a bigger step up than the 3GS is.

I am unsure if will bother. Looks like O2 isn't going to let people cancel the existing contracts on iPhone 3G and start a new one.

May wait for the next years model. Looks like going to be a yearly phone refresh and a 2 year contract so just every other iPhone then I think.

yep. been waiting for one for a 32gb vesion to come out for ages and my phone is on its last legs. easy decision for me, well the price sucks but i think its worth it :)

I am out of my 18month £45 per month contract, and just paying month by month, and dont have any iphone of any sort, just a normal nokia. Just wondering how much I will have to pay to get this on upgrade ?

Got my 3G a couple of months ago - to be honest, there's not enough there to make me really want one now. I'm still very happy with my current phone :D
