Yep but it is GDDR5X, which puts it almost as fast as HBM.
Nope. 1080 has 320 GB/s while 980Ti has 326. HBM (Fury X) is way above at 512.

Invest in some quick disconnects with your next watercooling project.
If I wanted to I could swap out 4 watercooled cards faster than 4 air cooled ones.
980 will probably drop to around £150-£170, and the 980ti will probably be around £250
I'd take a 250 ti in a heartbeat.
I don't think they'll drop that low, but if they did, from a purely money and value perspective, you'd be mad to buy a launch day 1080 at £600 if you could bag a used decent 980ti at a ridiculously low price.
That's an option too. If people start throwing their 980Tis away then I'd happily sell my 980s and bag two cheap 980Tis.

anyone who thinks they can get a 980Ti for less than half that is simply delusional. There's some powerful crack being smoked around here lately.![]()
I'd rather smash it up than sell one of my 980Ti's for £200. Genuinely mean that by the way.
Anyway, its all nonsense. As said above, this forum loses its **** on a yearly/ bi-yearly cycle when new GPUs are approaching. It's entertaining though.
